Cozy bath hotel bed delicious food.

Nice hotel with bath hotel character, nicely renovated rooms, however, our room was small. Excellent 3-course dinner in the restaurant. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Nice hotel room and breakfast but disastreous dinner and prize

”Gourmet dinner” was miniature small tasteless dishes with overcooked meat and lack of bread. Leaving us super hungry we asked for more bread at least - the answer ”not possible, the chef did not bake more than one (super small) per guest”. Drove to Circle-K in Allinge and bought snacks so we would not starve through the night. Restaurant staff ignorant and hotel mgr did not react to our remarks.
Guess the hotel’s photos serie of old queen Magarethes royal visit to the hotel the year before tricked us but guess the chef and menu was different then …

We loved that it felt charming and old school, with lovely dining rooms and sitting rooms. Our room in the main building was a bit small but adequate and well maintained and very clean. The spa area of the hotel was brand new and well done, with a great pool, sauna, and hot-tub. The hotel breakfast was excellent and generous and the dinner we had there was good, but not very seasonal.
