This hotel has a fabulous location, high above Vejle Fjord. The grounds are well kept, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are clean and spacious.

A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in Vejle. Very comfortable bed, clean room and helpful staff. Lots of choice from the breakfast buffet.
Wonderful view overlooking Vejle Fjord.

Lovely setting in an historic property that is well maintained. Some of the staff gave very confident (and inaccurate) answers to questions, but all were friendly and helpful. There is EV parking, but you need your own cable. There is a laundry room that is free to use, which was excellent, but the first staff member I asked said they didn't have one. The breakfast (included in our booking) was AMAZING, dinner also quite good but not included. Appreciated the pool and hot tubs, small but adequate fitness room, and lovely views with trails.
The beds are typical European (read; not overly comfortable) and noises carry throughout the hotel so appreciated having the ear plugs available, especially since it was much more comfortable to sleep with the patio door open.

Very nice location, in the middle of the nature and with a beautiful view from both the room and the restaurant. There is also a nice spa and pool. The staff was friendly and kind with us.

Weekend stay ruined.

Weekend stay destroyed
As a business traveler, I used Munkebjerg hotel several times and was satisfied. But this time when I had invited my wife for the weekend it wasn't very good. We got a room 331 where there was no hot water in the shower, we contacted the reception which unfortunately could not get to fix it in the weekend. Since we unfortunately had wasted on the one dyne we thought it was replaced by the cleaning, but there was no cleaning in the room on the weekend.
One evening we had ordered a table by the window, but we didn’t get it even though there was a table available. The red wine we bought had prop in both air and taste, but it rejected both the waitress and the restaurant manager. I have been selling wine for 30 years and can clearly smell and taste when there is a prop in the wine.
All through a bad experience in an otherwise nice hotel.
