Beautiful Baltic Sea hotel
Booked for our last night in Estonia. The hotel is right on the Baltic coast. It is a gem of a location. We booked on booking.com for $100/night including breakfast. Our room, 2, looked out on the Baltic Sea, it was modern and very comfortable. The only thing it didn’t have was a balcony, which was strange because the door opened to a drop of about 3 feet. We used the chair at the desk to get to the ground. The coast is running and we walked the beach.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices. Like most places in Estonia, the buffet included eggs, pancakes, herring, Mets, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. The front desk will make cappuccinos at no extra charge. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel has a display of the smuggling that went on in the 1930s from Estonia to Finland. A fascinating history of another country’s failed Prohibition attempt.
We ate at the restaurant which was very good. We were impressed with the food quality and reasonable prices. The views from the restaurant were of the Baltic Sea.
This hotel is a lovely one night stay along the coast.

Nordic simplicity, but oh-so-memorable
The room itself was spacious enough and the bathroom interior setup was very clever (mirrors and wash-basin in the corner)! The bed, linen and all of the materials used in the room were top-quality, simple, but elegant nordic/marine style.
What made the stay so special I just had to write a review was the personal, kind and helpful attitude by the staff. Especially I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Rauno, the night receptionist/breakfast cook/man of many talents! He was the one who found a solution to all our inquiries during our stay and on top of it all - since we had to check out before the official breakfast time - he arranged fresh pancakes, orange juice and coffee for us to enjoy with the sunrise in the dining hall before we had to be on our way. It was my first time at Tulivee villa, but I already can't wait to visit again. Most definitely would recommend!
