Professionelles Hotel

Wir waren im Rahmen unserer Hochzeitsreise in Addis Abbeba! Meine Familie war insgesamt 6 Tage im Blue Bird, wir selbst waren 2 Nächte dort. Das Personal ist ungewohnt professionell und unkompliziert für europäische Touristen! Unstimmigkeiten bezüglich Reservation werden mit einem freunddlichen Lächeln quittiert und das Hotel ist um heden Gast dankbar! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, warmwasser ist vorhanden. Das Hotel selbst liegt Nahe des Flughafens. Das Frühstück bietet auch für den europäischen Magen allerhand leckere Speisen. Das Personal spricht auch Englisch und weiss die Bedürfnisse internationaler Gäste zu erfüllen!! Das Blue Bird ist ein fähiges und ernstzunehmendes Hotel mit internationalem Standard in Addis Abbeba! Vielen Dank und gerne wieder!

The worst food I ever had

Me and my wife went out for dinner to Blue Birds Hotel and were very disappointed. The restaurant was empty and the food we ordered was not brought out incorrectly neither was it fresh. Honestly the food tasted like garbage!! I don't recommend anyone throw money away like we did tonight.

Wrong Information

I chose this hotel because they were advertising a well equipped gym in their facility information on booking. Luckily I asked at check in if they really have a gym (I have lived long enough in ethiopia now...) and it turned out they don't have one at all. Anyway, hotel looked clean, I didn't check in

Spectacularly bad hotel

This hotel is in a class of its own. After spending more than 40 mins waiting for the manager, in order to negotiate a price (sometimes you can do that in ethiopia) he arrived and was somewhat aloof and more interested in stroking his ego. He then attempted to charge me more than what was advertised on the internet.That was the first sign of bad things to come.I was given a room that seemed spotlessly clean but to my utter horror discovered it was infested with cockroaches within the area you make your coffee. I immediately requested a room change and was given a bigger room that i much later discovered also had cockroaches but this time in the bathroom. From the manager going down to even the cleaners they were unfriendly and looked down on me to the point that it seemed they were doing me a favour letting me stay at this hotel. The icing on the cake had to do with the general service. I ordered fish that literally was rotten and delivered to my room after 1 hour. The very next day the food order took 2 hours to be delivered. However, after strongly complaining about this the delivery time improved. To cap it all. If you are not caucasion, chinese or ethiopian dont go to this hotel, they will look down on you and treat you accordingly. There is clear discrimination along those lines.
Never again will i pay my hard earned cash to be subjected to such.
