Family hotel, very authentic and quiet, with enviable location

Very authentic and familiar place. You feel at home but in a Filipino atmosphere. The owner and all the very friendly staff, they attended us wonderfully and gave us very good advice on what to do and where to go. Unforgettable. Rooms with terrace and views are the best. Very quiet. You can swim in the sea, which is practically private. It's not luxurious but it's very special. At night and in the morning the locals catch molluscs when the tide goes out. Close to the village but at the same time independent and without noise. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay at Dacozy

We stayed at Dacozy resort for 4 nights and loved this hotel. Good value with spacious rooms, clean, excellent breakfast included, and an amazing outdoor space. We sat watching the ocean as we had our meals and then could walk through the garden and straight into the sea. Pool and hammocks were also great. Staff were very friendly - even let us borrow snorkels for the duration of our trip! They advised us on how much we should be paying for tricycles also. Staff were very generous too - we ordered pinã coladas one night and they went to the effort of taking a fresh coconut off the tree to make them!
Only negatives were that we arrived to a pitch black hotel as the power had shut off, but I don’t think this was the fault of the hotel as it is apparently a common problem in the area. The WiFi for the rooms also broke halfway through our stay so we were restricted to the WiFi in the garden/restaurant. This was ok for us but if you are reliant on WiFi maybe something to think about since there was no indication that it would be fixed soon when I asked.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come again. When we drove past the other accommodation options we were looking at prior to booking we were very pleased with our choice of Dacozy.

average experience

due to typhoon events, had to make last minute changes to plans - decided to stay in Moalboal in Dacozy beach resort.
welcome was nice and friendly. Staff is overall nice and friendly.
rooms are clean and spacy. sleep comfort is good. bathroom is ok but little pressure of warm water makes taking a shower a challenge.
breakfast is ok but not great - had much better breakfast in various other places in the philippines.
dinner and lunch are OK but cuisine is not as good as most other restaurants in village.
overall not more than average experience.

Excellent last stop on our family Philippines adventure

We stayed for two nights at Dacozy before heading back to the UK. The room was beautiful, with a lovely balcony and gorgeous sea view. Staff were friendly and approachable. We had a couple of nice lunches but not much choice available for breakfast. Facilities were great, a large swimming pool, close to the beach for snorkelling and an easy walk in to the more touristy area of Panagsama Beach.

Great family friendly place

This place is the perfect set up for families with the small beach located in front of shallow pool. Restaurant is then located nearby and has a great selection of food. We are at the back of the resort but there are rooms also overlooking pool which look nice. The staff are super helpful and hard working.
Could not fault it and cannot understand why it is not rated higher.
