A truly special Ferragosto lunch
We were lucky enough to be invited to lunch on Ferragosto by Alberto and Rochelle, thanks to two dear friends, owners of another resort right across the way, on one of the splendid islands of Palawan.
From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with extraordinary kindness and hospitality, making us feel immediately at home, or rather, like part of their family.
Rochelle delighted us with her special prawn soup, prepared according to a secret recipe, accompanied by fantastic grilled pork and other authentic local specialties.
Everything was simply sublime. But even more than the flavors, what will stay with us is the warmth with which we were welcomed, the conviviality, and the feeling of having shared a real family lunch.
An authentic and precious experience, the kind that makes a trip even more special.
Heartfelt thanks to Alberto and Rochelle for giving us an unforgettable Ferragosto.

For a complete relaxation of a few days

Small beach resort run by an excellent hostess, Rochelle.
The food is great and we are immersed in total peace.
Fantastic value for money.
On request they can arrange transfer to the front islet for snorkeling. Fun in the morning at low tide walking in search of shells to leave obviously in their environment.

Away from it all

If you want a holiday on your on piece of paradise away from it all (crowds, traffic, noise), then this is it...plus you have the comfort of home, fresh seafood, and caring hosts who treat you more like a friend! - SDS

Paradise escape!

This is truly paradise! If you want to spend time in the place yet undiscovered, this is it! Lovely beach, comfortable cottage villas. Wind, sound of the waves - peaceful place. But the best is Rochelle and her family. Spending time with them, eating home prepared food - real homestay!!!

Tranquil Perfection

Playa Encantada is remote & isolated - the last part of the journey is some 20 mins through a jungle path road. Just 3 cottages comprise the resort with direct access to an undeveloped beach - apart from other guests you will have this all to yourself ! Just amazing if your looking for tranquility away from the El Nido crowd. Its a great walk along the coastline where you come across several other tucked away deserted beaches.You couldn't get a much better host than the owner Rochelle.You are totally reliant on the resort & her cooking - which I would describe as awesome.So very helpful with all of our questions & spending time to give us special information about the area. During our stay it was quite windy with the waves crashing against the shore - which was just so relaxing. I hope the place doesn't change, without doubt I would not hesitate to return.
