Great Choice

Stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. What I liked about it most is it's location - 20 mins from Larena port. That's a plus for me. The beach has a wide shoreline and it is beautiful during low tide. It's also appealing because of its remoteness, we practically have the beach to ourselves although the resort is fully-booked.
Way worth your bucks than its 2 nearby resorts.

Cute huts and beautiful sunsets

Pros: Beautiful colorful fan/aircon nipa huts with beach view. Mosquito net available upon request. Very quiet during November. Best sunsets.
Cons: Long way walk through sea grass (50 m) before possible to swim. Water shoes a must!

November is mostly low tide month. Water is high and near to bungalows during hightide months. Hence the sea wall.

My absolute top

If I had to come up with one single resort I'd like to be right now I would say this place. It was absolutely calm and relaxing there when we were there. We enjoyed every single day and every single dinner or breakfast which they brought us to our private table right before our cabin.

remote, simple but intensely satisfying resort

You don't visit this resort for luxury, not for mass tourisme, not for parties, not for perfect swimming... you visit this place.... to retreat.
you pick a cottage on the beach, say hello to the quite but so respectful and hospitable staff - i miss you guys! - you rent a scooter and there you are....
in paradise...
the resort is down the rocks, on sea-level. there is a main-building - well, hut - that overlooks a couple of cottages on the beach. prices and basics are mentioned on the updated website. the family running this paradise is solid rock. i would trust them with everything i have. they are somewhat shy, like Filipino's can be, but when you win their hearts by giving them respect you are 'in'.
half hour by scooter/triped you are in Larena where you can shop and dine in nothing more then a small jungle village. siquijor has a main-road, encicling the island and many roads into the mountain-area. along the coast you will find many places to stay but my favorite is still this little, unseen, quit place.
i have been here twice 5 weeks and every week i took the boat to Dumaquete City, picked a hotel and had some quality-time in the mall / cinema. perfect balance.
don't go here if you hate lack of electricity. it sometimes falls out here.

Nice place to be - calm and relaxing

A small and calm Resort where you might spend a few days and enjoy the beautiful beach. Only a very limited amount of Nipa Huts are available, all are appointed very basic, but useful. You might enjoy a calm day on your small terrace in your hammock, or at the beach. If you are "hungry for more" you might rent a motorbike and surround the Island (takes only approx. 4-6h - so enough time stop everywhere you'd like to - e.g. Cambugahay Falls). If you'd like to do scuba diving you might go to the resort next door, they offer a small dive center with a dinghy.
The rooms are basic as mentioned - a simple, but comfortable bed - a typical bathroom SEA-style. The windows are equipped with mosquitonets, but it makes sense to use yours additionally as not all mosquitonets are in perfect condition. Electricity is a problem - if you have to charge your devices you will need a bit more time as usual, as the electricity is shut down several times a day - during the evening or night kerosene lamps are provided.
During lowtide it might get difficult to find a way into the ocean through sea urchins and starfishes, but it works if you pay attention.
Recommendation for trips on the island: rent a motorbike, surround the island! Visit the e.g. Cabugahay Falls, Salagdoong beach (you will find so many really nice beaches! Take your time to enjoy the landscape with rice fields, palm trees, beaches and old and nice, small towns).
