Our home in Boracay — and it’s the people who brought us back ❤️
This is our second stay at Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa, and perhaps the biggest compliment we can give this hotel is that our first stay was only about a month and a half ago. We enjoyed our time here so much that when we decided to come back to Boracay, we didn’t really have to think about where we wanted to stay. We came straight back to Mandarin Bay.
Of course, the resort is beautiful. We love the pool, the rooms, the location and how convenient everything is. But after staying here twice in such a short time, we realised that what really sets Mandarin Bay apart for us is the people.
Lear, Roshan and Sam were already incredibly warm and welcoming to us during our very first stay. They were some of the people we remembered when we left. So walking back into Mandarin Bay this time and being greeted by those same familiar faces — only now with an even warmer “welcome back” — genuinely felt like coming back somewhere we belonged.
A very special thank you to Lear at Reception. She helped us personally with our reservation for this second trip, made everything so easy for us and even took such care in choosing a wonderful room. When we opened the door, we found balloons, flowers, towel swans, little cakes and our names welcoming us on the TV. It was such a thoughtful surprise. And yes, there was even a little “honeymoon” note accidentally left in the setup, which gave us a good laugh. ❤️
Lear has genuinely left her mark on our experience at Mandarin Bay. She has that special quality that can’t really be taught — making guests feel remembered, valued and genuinely welcome. Hospitality isn’t only about doing a job well; sometimes it’s simply about how you make people feel. Thank you, Lear. We won’t forget you.
Roshan at Reception has been just as lovely to us from our first stay through to this one — gracious, friendly and always willing to assist. There’s something wonderful about returning to a hotel and seeing someone who welcomed you the first time now welcoming you back as a familiar guest.
And Sam from the pool bar/restaurant has been part of our Mandarin Bay memories from the beginning too. Always smiling, always friendly, always checking that we’re okay and enjoying ourselves. On this second visit, seeing Sam again really did feel like seeing an old friend.
There are plenty of beautiful resorts in Boracay, and we could easily have tried somewhere different this time. We chose Mandarin Bay again after only a month and a half. That says everything.
Beautiful rooms and facilities can make a great hotel. But it’s people who turn a hotel into somewhere you genuinely want to return to.
Thank you, Lear, Roshan, Sam and the entire Mandarin Bay family, for welcoming Shane, Andrei and me so warmly — not just this time, but from the very first time we walked through your doors.
We still have several days left before we leave, and we’re already going to miss you. ❤️

Best resort in Boracay!!!
The hospitality and kindness of the staff here, especially Sam, Tep, Sean, Shiela, and Grace is unmatched from any other place we have stayed in the world. They treated us like we were royalty and made our ten year wedding anniversary so special.
The location is perfect, value is excellent, and I recommend this resort to everybody who is fortunate enough to visit this beautiful piece of heaven.

My familie's vacation at Mandarin Bay
Our whole boracay vacation was wonderful, especially because we stayed at Mandarin bay.
From the moment we arrived, they immediately offered us drinks and cold towels to help us freshen up. I also appreciated that our room was close to the elevator, especially since we had a toddler who loves swimming.
All the staff greeted us with warm smiles, which made us feel very welcome. I also have to mention our housekeeping attendant, Ms. Dane. I really appreciated her because she was always smiling, and seeing her cheerful personality brightened my mood as well.
Overall, our experience at Mandarin Bay this August 2026 was absolutely perfect. We’re already excited to come back for our next family vacation. It truly felt like a home away from home.
