The most brilliant hidden gem in the Philippines

Around the corner from TAG airport and Alona Beach, the most famous beach in the PH, there is a well hidden gem, an efficiently run, very quiet hotel with the lowest price ($11 off-season) in all of Panglao with the name of GREENFIELD TOURIST INN. It is off the road leading to the airport and therefore very peaceful. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds have extraordinary thick matrasses that offer you a deep deserved sleep after a very long flight.
From the balcony you oversee the pool which is right next to the breakfast bar. Breakfast is served all day with a variety of choices but all at a very low price, extremely delicious and served with a smile. The area is safe and secure away from the traffic. There are many eateries within walking distance.
The hotel has a van service which takes you anywhere at a minimal cost. The hotel can also provide you with car rental agencies equally at amazing low cost for one day or one week, amazingly with insurance included. They drop your rental vehicle off at the hotel grounds (see photo).
I stayed here through Christmas 2024 and the grounds were wonderfully illuminated in celebration of the holiday. During my vacation, I rented a van (see photo) and enjoyed the freedom of movement around the island to go and visit the Chocolate Hills, amongst others. Only Booking.com does the hotel reservations.
Because of the enormous effort the staff put in to make you feel welcome at the prices they charge, this hotel should be rated a sixth star!

Back in Panglao...

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. This time with the four of us. The hotel is located near Alona Beach.
The hotel has provided rooms in the new Green Meadows building, for which I am very grateful to the manager.
Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel has swimming pools, a kitchen where you can order breakfast for 150 pesos.
The staff are friendly, polite.
I recommend the hotel for short stays or vacations with friends or family.

Just checked out 2 days ago! Very relaxing stay. Very quiet area with no noise. The staff is also very kind and helpful! The rooms are very basic style but the area is quiet and you can get very good sleep.

Terrible

Probably the worst place i stayed in the Philippines... they didn’t have my booking although everything is on Agoda and paid, the soap holder felt off, old contact lenses found on the shelf, black hair on the floor, the road to get to the hotel in bad conditions, internet not working in my room... Friendly staff but i would not recommend this place at all.

Beach Vibes!

The resort is located 15-10 minutes walk to Alona Beach, Php1,500 for a twin room is spacious and affordable, they offer free Shutlle to and from Alona Beach! Our kids enjoyed the pool. Overall this place offered a good vibes and relaxing treat! Complimentary breakfast needs a lot of improvement though!
