Peace and relaxation
Ideal place, surrounded by nature, where you can breathe peace and relaxation. Possibility to practice different winter sports, such as alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. Private sauna in the chalets and buffet restaurant, tried at lunch. The classic Finnish wood-burning sauna is also available for an additional fee, with the possibility of immersing yourself in the frozen lake.
We also saw the Northern Lights.

Fell Centre Kiilopaa wonderfully relaxed
What a great accommodation. We stayed in a log-cabin for a week in early January 2025 in which it lacks nothing. We thought there was a problem with the sauna and reported it to reception by email. The same Sunday evening, an explanation and manual followed. What a service...!!! And nothing else to complain about. You will make the most beautiful walks from your accommodation with or without snowshoes or cross-country skiing. And for booked safaris you will be picked up just outside the reception. The buffet restaurant may lack some atmosphere but offers a fine breakfast buffet. Restaurant Kammi offers a small but varied menu and certainly has a romantic ambiance. The ski bus will take you to Saariselka in the morning if desired. In the late afternoon you can take it back to Kiiloopa and all for 6,00 euros (day ticket). For do price you can move every half hour within Saariselka, for example to the Ski center, where you can also sledge down the mountain and the shopping center with its large K-Market. There is everything for sale that the small shop on the Fell Centrum cannot offer. But for some small daily business it is nevertheless useful. More positive aspects of the Fell Centre Kiiloopa....? The tranquility, that wonderful relaxed environment that you can hardly find in daily life in your own environment. What a fantastic relief. Dank Fell Centre. Thank friendly lady from reception. FOR SPORT LOVERS
The property is located right at the gateway to Urho Kekkonen National Park and offers various types of accommodation: Wooden chalet, hotel room, hostel, caravan park and tents.
We stayed in the log cabin and our chalet was spacious, functional with a wood stove, kitchen and the inevitable sauna. For those who want there is also the buffet restaurant operating for breakfast, lunch and dinner (with a very good quality). There are many activities that can be done depending on the season: on site there is an equipment rental center that knows how to give you all the necessary information (we had the experience with fat biking and it was great fun). Many paths to follow. In November we also saw some wonderful auroras from the top of Mount Kiilopa. Don’t miss the smoked sauna experience

Kuurakaltio — Smokesauna and ice swimming
A pleasant and relaxing experience, highly recommended! It is advisable to book tickets in advance, as the sessions were popular (max 25 persons at time). The tickets were 18 euros for person.
The smoke sauna has a relaxed atmosphere, there is also good wooden peflettis to use (placemats). And I believe you can bring your own drinks too. The women's changing room had only about ten lockable boxes, which no one seemed to use. There is also two showers and wc.
Kiilopuro river has a comfortable sandy bottom and it was safe for first-timers like us. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful business card Lapland
The people there are friendly and helpful, with English you can manage just fine besides. The receptionists thought along where necessary with regard to public transport back to Ivalo Airport (fortunately, because otherwise I would have had quite a challenge, because I had misread a timetable for bus service).
Slept 1 night in Hostel Ahopaa. Fine bed, clean room, tranquility, public shower facilities clean and cared for.
Then 2 nights hotel room. Nothing excessive, but everything is there, clean and well. Great bed, lovely shower, and beautiful view!
I only used breakfast buffet and dinner buffet, and as far as I was concerned there was nothing to criticize. Wide choice, variety, and tasty besides.
In conclusion, I think the price/quality ratio is really very good.
As far as I am concerned, this is a very nice and practical place to start and/or end your arctic adventures.
