The spa is nice, the nature is wonderful but the breakfast is sloppy

The spa is in good condition and worth a visit. The location is stunning in terms of nature. The building urgently needs a basic renovation in terms of the exterior, etc. The breakfast is ok, partly poor. Hopefully the feedback I gave to the kitchen will lead to improvements that will benefit future customers and the company, though the responsiveness was not brilliant. The burgers in the bistro were surprisingly the best. Too bad there's no competition in the area to improve the quality of the food.

Family holiday destination in central Finland

I’ve stayed in Peurunka for few times in last few years with my son. The hotel is an old rehabilitation facility and spa. It has been renovated in recently years. Some rooms are old. We stayed in hotel main building. The rooms are not high end hotel quality, but they were neat and had what we needed.
This place is best for winter holiday with family. There are few restaurants, one for pizza/hamburger type of food and then another simple home cooked food buffet style. The breakfast had what most hotels have, and everything kids could want (i.e. pancakes). There are sometimes deals on the hotel website for meal deals, then it’s really good deal with family.
Activities include swimming, sledging, cross country skiing, play room for kids, small climbing wall for kids, i wall, Bowling, hiking.. maybe skating?
Only minus I could find was that the water pressure was not very good at the spa showers.

Cold and unpleasant visit

Very cold pools and spa. Room was dirty, when we arrived. Breakfast not anything special, not even anything sweet with coffee. Lunch or dinner buffet, no main course for vegetatians, not even fish.
Only good thing was bistro, nice service and food was ok. Unfortunately not going to visit again, we have many much better places in Finland.

Price quality ratio non-existent

Over 600 Euros for 3 nights but nothing beats this rate!
The rooms are old and need a good renovation! Bedding is essential (although I never have a problem with it)
Breakfast is like a canteen: quantity takes precedence over quality and if you come 30 minutes before closing, there is no choice.
The tables are not very clean see sticky , no wonder when you see the lady cleaning several tables with the same wipe?! Without cleaning it and going around the saddlers!
Uncourteous staff, here we do not greet you...
On the other hand it is not a spa , it is just a hotel with swimming pool and sauna...
