Hits all the right notes

Stayed here for 3nights recently and I would highly recommend this hotel.Friendly staff,very good breakfast and a super location.What more would you want.

Clean rooms, air conditioning was very good. Rooms were a little old fashioned and some needed renovation. Reasonable value for a city centre hotel.

Better as a B&B

We stayed at this hotel as part of an organized trip, with half-board service. The hotel overlooks a large square and presents itself as an elegant, but slightly dated, structure. Standard-sized room, with a good overall level of cleanliness (the carpet), while the bathroom was windowless and showed some signs of wear (though a bathrobe was provided). The sore point was unfortunately the dinner; the impression was that the staff was unprepared to receive us: for half an hour no one showed up, despite the menu having already been pre-arranged, so much so that we took it upon ourselves to distribute the cutlery and water bottles, all aggravated by the very poor quality of the courses. Breakfast helped to partially salvage our stay, considering both the setup of the room, the quality of the various options, and the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. Ultimately, it is recommended to use it with B&B service.

The hotel is good, but the service at the internal restaurant is terrible.
I am addressing the hotel owner directly, since it is you who responds to reviewers. What you read in my profile is a fictional name, but I assure you that I am part of the group of 32 people from Cremona (Italy), and I specified this to the receptionist to whom I introduced myself.
I would have given your hotel 4 bubbles because my room (no. 403) is furnished in a French style, is romantic, and is equipped with some comforts typical of 4-star hotels (bathrobes, a full minibar, shampoo, a large TV screen), although it lacks an adequate luggage rack. However, you decided to serve us dinner as well, not having the adequate capacity to do so... and you made a serious mistake. Now I will explain to you why: first of all, we were cramped at two large tables, like in a refectory, and the waiting times for food were eternal. At 10:00 PM, I, who had been seated since 8:00 PM, left because the dessert had not yet been served. Other diners had left earlier, and half of us remained waiting for dessert because they had only eaten the appetizer. And what they prepared for us! For an appetizer, 4 frozen and boiled asparagus spears with peanuts on top. As a main course, beef bourguignon served over pasta. I, who had declared that I was allergic to mushrooms, should have eaten the sausage with mashed potatoes, but I preferred a chicken breast, and you made me pay a surcharge of 1 euro! The waiter told us that the restaurant service was provided by an outside restaurant located in the same building. But you, Monsieur, to safeguard your hotel, should not have agreed to provide such a poor-quality dinner, which had the effect of making you earn a little extra and causing your hotel to lose credibility.
Think about it before feeding groups!

Travel

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for one night. Good welcome, but for a 4-star hotel and for the price, I expected better. Outdated bathroom, with peeling baseboards, and I am not even mentioning the balcony. Comfortable bed and a night light. This hotel does not deserve to be a 4-star establishment.
