A little better than an ibis

Next to a canal and not far from the Rhone is this larger hotel. The architecture is generous and there is some "art". You can get lost. The rooms are small, however. The bedside table on the left was in a closet. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. You could press oranges. To compensate, there were no eggs to cook yourself. There were 3 hot dishes. The hotel has a parking space with a barrier. The reception was quite bureaucratic. First I had to show my ID and then fill out a registration form. This registration form will be destroyed after the stay. Very unusual for France.

Very bad experience at this hotel.

Very bad experience at this hotel. From the very first night, we were confronted with strong sewage odors coming from the pipes, to the point of making the stay particularly unpleasant.
I immediately reported the problem to the front desk, asking that a solution be found. Unfortunately, the only intervention consisted of sending the housekeeping staff, which simply allowed the odor to be temporarily masked.
By evening, the sewage odors returned even stronger, with a truly unbearable intensity. And I won't even tell you about the smell when waking up in the morning...
What is especially disappointing is that after reporting the problem from the very first night, no real solution was provided. For a hotel, this level of disturbance and the lack of real support are frankly unacceptable.
We came to have a pleasant stay and unfortunately spent part of our time enduring these foul odors.
Very disappointing experience. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment as long as this problem with odors and pipes is not actually resolved.

Passable

An unpleasant sewer smell lingered in the bathroom throughout the stay. We reported it twice to the front desk. No response... When we checked out, we mentioned it again and the only answer we got was a simple "there is nothing we can do." No commercial gesture. Empty minibar, not even a bottle of water available. Hotel surroundings dirty (trash, mattress). Needs review for a 4*, the rooms need a facelift.

An exceptional stay

We had a wonderful stay.. particularly the quiet, the quality of service, and the kindness of the entire team.
A big thank you to the whole team for your professionalism and your attention. We left with very beautiful memories and will return with great pleasure.
An address that we recommend with our eyes closed.

Practical but not very interesting

Very large, very anonymous room (no decorative elements) with A/C and good bedding.
However, that a 4-star hotel only allows access from 4:00 PM, when the guest wants to rest after a trip, seems unwelcoming to me.
Small pool, a few lounge chairs, but no garden.
