Family meals

To answer Florence S that her opinion is deplorable when the children of the table next door become a little too noisy and the restaurant turns into a playground and provokes looks and sighs of anger from the other customers but also from the restaurant staff! Adults unable to be parents where is education!
For our part very beautiful setting, beautiful decoration and excellent welcome! The dishes were very good, tasty and very well served, we highly recommend this restaurant

Unacceptable welcome and customer experience

We celebrated a family celebration at this restaurant. If the food was more than correct, the welcome was simply catastrophic. Never have I known such a deplorable staff. Smiles, kindness and customer satisfaction were clearly optional. This restaurant seems to have a dislike for children, which is unacceptable, especially for a group of 31 people. We paid a high price for an experience that should have been joyful but turned into bitter disappointment. Avoid this place if you want a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Cors de Chases

Fire pie night. Atmosphere in the local tradition. Group of Chase Horns to liven up this beautiful evening outdoors near the deer. Very warm. Hunting scenery. We are in the heart of the Vosges. Bravo

Another Walking Holiday

From the site you will see that I and my wife have visited this hotel in prior years. This year ( 2022 ) we were en route to Austria ( via a long weekend with our son and his family at their home near Zurich ) for a walking holiday in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Birkenwald is only a short distance from the motorway and is a very convenient location for an overnight stay. As with our prior visit we enjoyed well appointed accomodation and dinner and breakfast were of a very high standard. Again very highly recommended.

A Walking Holiday

My wife and I were en route to a walking holiday in Austria and chose to break our journey in Birkenwald having located this hotel via Trip Advisor. This hotel is in a delightful village at the foot of the Vosges mountains and is off the beaten track but for all that a very good find. Our room was well appointed and we were 'fed and watered' very well. What more could one ask for. Definitely recommended.
