Excellent hotel located near center of Caen. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast fantastic. Can’t beat it for the price.

Neglected cleanliness in apartments

2 apartments rented very neglected.
The attached pictures speak. The TV freezes, the remote control too.
The double bed is very steep.
Photos of all the dirt sent to the man in charge of the residence.

Apartment hotel near the center

Apartment hotel located 7 minutes from the center on foot. Spacious rooms with a kitchen that we did not use. Spacious refrigerator compared to a normal hotel.
Friendly staff willing to help you.
The problem I see with it is the comfort of the beds. We had a double bed which is a "sofa bed" (all rooms with a double bed are the same). I put it in quotes because it is not a sofa bed like the one in any house. The mattress is placed on a wooden sheet that acts as a bed base and you can lift it towards the wall and hold it vertically. Underneath there is a sofa. The only advantage it has is that you can make the room bigger and put a table in the middle of the room if you want to eat lunch or dinner there. The disadvantage is that the mattress is of quite low quality. I prefer not to talk about the pillows. Of the many trips I have taken through France, it is difficult to find a comfortable pillow. Most of them are "cushions" to me.
We stayed 8 nights and by the sixth night, the body was already "getting used" to the mattress and pillow.

Hotel very well located to be able to get around on foot to discover the city and its heritage. Air-conditioned and well-soundproofed room. Welcoming and professional staff. Closed parking (fee required).
Unfortunately, I cannot give an excellent review because of a few negative points in our accommodation:
- lack of dishes (cutlery and glasses),
- table too small for 2 people to eat,
- cleaning needs to be reviewed (especially the dust),
- high parking price (20 euros per day) even though on the 1st day you can only arrive from
4:00 PM and departure is before 11:00 AM).

Comfortable room, a lot of space and a lot of storage. Useful kitchenette and very welcoming aircon in temperatures just under 40C. Significant downside of room is that there is no bedside lighting, really no idea how this can have been deemed OK when fitting out room?
On-site breakfast was a VERY expensive 18 euros.
Located next to river, in striking distance of train station and tram network as well as a couple of decent boulangeries.
Would definitely stay again.
