Excellent stay

We had three nights at Le 1880. Anais and Jean-Philippe were excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Very nice bathroom with bath and shower, plenty of hot water. The living area and the kitchen were well equipped and we made good use of them. Breakfast was plentiful, nice to have fruit as well as the usual croissants and bread. Would love to return.

Perfect spot

Lovely gite. Well renovated with every amenity one needs. Very clean and an outstanding host ready to give local hints if required. Secure off street parking an added extra.
Location is also ideal, being in easy walking distance of the town centre and numerous restaurants.
Key for me though was that the purpose was a visit to the WW! battlefields. While Cambrai had not been my first choice as a place to stay it turned out to be an ideal base for a New Zealander (and the same would apply to Australians and Canadians). Right in the centre. Ypres and Messines about an hour north; the Somme some 30 minutes south; The Arras tunnels 25 minutes west and Le Quesnoy (end of the 100 day offensive) 25 minutes East - perfect. If this is your purpose I must give Le 1880 a very high recommendation.

Very good service

I was friendly welcomed by the host and she showed me the accomodation. There is a common part with a kitchen. You have access from your private room to the common area. The room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean. The only negative point in this time of the year was the heath. The host told me they want to invest in airconditioning for next year. The breakfast was good and there was plenty. The service was very good as we forgot a sweater and it was sent home!

Superbe endroit !

Magnifique endroit pour y séjourner tout en étant en centre ville de Cambrai ! Cadre confortable, superbe et calme ! Hôtesse très agréable et serviable ! Le plus, un parking protégé avec une magnifique court ! Proche de délicieux restaurants et de la jolie place !

Prima B&B

Heerlijke B&B met 2 kamers en 1 gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Je wordt welkom geheten door Anais die alles uitlegt. Het bed was heerlijk en de kamer heel schoon. Het ligt naast centrum van Cambrais. Normaal kan je auto parkeren in de binnentuin, maar deze werd nu gerenoveerd. De gastvrouw bood hiervoor haar excuses aan maar voor ons was het geen probleem. Heerlijk ontbijt! Aanrader.
