A campsite where one returns with pleasure.
This is the second time we have stayed at this campsite, and we are still very satisfied.
We stayed in a tent: the accommodation was clean, functional, and in very good condition. The pools are very pleasant, the staff is welcoming and friendly, and we particularly appreciated our location, situated less than 30 meters from the Verdon. A real plus!
We also tried the wood-fired pizzas, which are excellent.
If there were one area for improvement, it would be to plant more trees in certain spots. With the intense summer heat, a bit more shade would be greatly appreciated for the tents, caravans, and RVs.
In any case, we had an excellent stay and will return with pleasure.

Nice place not friendly staff and management
The campsiite has a nice location, near to castellane and has direct access to the river where you can swim and play with the current. The tents, are basic and not well organised (even just some shelves where to put things would be useful). Facilities are dated particularly on the side of the campsite opposite to reception. The major negative is that the personal is not friendly or helpful.

Unpleasant experience
Like what, Welcoming does everything! After a first successful experience in this same campsite several years ago and another very pleasant one in the Hutopia of the Ardèche a few days ago, I can only regret the one reserved for us in that of Verdon. As a matter of principle, trust takes a long time to build and is lost in the snap of a finger. We wanted to spend two nights in this site we knew, which runs along the Verdon and is established on either side of the busy road of the gorges. While in the Ardèche it had been possible for us to choose our pitch from among those available, we were, in the Verdon and for a much higher price, assigned by authority a pitch in the high side of the campsite, above the road, far from any Service and any convenience... So we declined the "offer" to reach another campsite located less than a kilometer away where we were greeted with a lot of kindness, site much friendlier, very well maintained and where we could choose a pitch by the river for a much lower price. I'll devote my next opinion to him... it's over for us of the label "huttopia"

Nightmarish stay
A stay at Huttopia Gorges du Verdon campsite that will unfortunately remain as one of our worst holiday experiences.
Upon arrival, we discovered a mobile home in a condition simply unworthy of an establishment that claims 4 stars. The observations were clear: stained tiles, cracked windows, damaged entrance curtain, difficult to use front door, sloppy cleaning with crumbs in the drawers... After reporting these problems at Welcoming, the manager moved. His response was to sponge through a drawer in an attempt to minimize the situation and then tell us that no relocation or commercial gestures would be granted.
This was followed by a series of written exchanges with management, where each problem was systematically minimised: stains became “slight marks”, cracked windows were “inconsequential”, the curtain or window “slightly damaged” but repaired by the Technical Service... However, if their technical team intervened to correct certain defects, this proves that these problems existed before our arrival and that the accommodation had not been properly checked before being allocated. As for the cleaning, it was hard to accept that it was “impeccable” when the manager himself cleaned a drawer in front of us.
The direction is justified by explaining that a 4-star campsite is not a 4-star hotel. Of course, but this does not excuse the lack of cleanliness, maintenance and minimum comfort. A ranking in open-air hospitality nevertheless commits to offering a certain level of quality. Here, we have had the feeling that customers must accept unacceptable defects, at high prices, without consideration or solution.
Unfortunately, the problem does not stop at the mobile home. The snack of the campsite is in an equally worrying condition. I was able to see and photograph dirty dishes left in evidence, proof of a flagrant lack of hygiene. But the most shocking thing remains the preparation of pizzas: the young people who handle them handle the food without care, blow their nose, cough or laugh over the dishes before serving them to customers. These serious hygiene deficiencies had already been reported by other customers in previous reviews, yet as of August 2025, nothing has changed. This is unacceptable, especially in a context where health rules should be strictly respected.
In the end, our vacation was ruined from day one. Between dirty and deteriorated accommodation, a management that denies the obvious instead of admitting its faults, repairs done in a hurry instead of a real care, and a snack where hygiene frankly leaves something to be desired, we leave with immense disappointment and the feeling of having been deceived by the standing displayed.
In conclusion: this campsite absolutely does not deserve its ranking or the confidence of holidaymakers. We will never set foot there again and strongly advise anyone considering staying to think twice before booking. For our part, Huttopia, it is over.

Il est évident que si vous venez en vacances dans l'optique d'avoir un geste commercial ou tout simplement un remboursement de vos vacances et cela dés votre arrivée... vous n'avez pas choisi le bon endroit.
La propreté du logement et du site en général était impeccable et les minimes soucis techniques ont été résolus dès votre arrivée.
Nous vous confirmons que nous avons une équipe soudée et qui est heureuse de travailler ensemble.
Nous n'avons aucun problème d'hygiène et nos pizzas, faites maison et cuites au feu de bois, sont très appréciées par nos vacanciers
Vous auriez dû les goûter, ce qui vous aurait permis d'avoir un réel jugement.
Bonne continuation dans la quête de gratuité pour vos prochaines vacances.

Disappointment
Hello,
Disappointment for this Huttopia campsite near the Verdon. The natural site is beautiful but we had a Sweet tent pitch, very disappointing: proximity to the Welcoming, the restaurant and the evening place, not far from the road ... A pitch therefore very sound with, as a bonus, the heat pump of the refrigerators that goes off at night! You’d expect something else, at least at night, being in the middle of nature. After a discussion with the people of Huttopia, there would have been a possible exchange solution, but you have to pay the housekeeping... that is 90 euros. Knowing that the night costs 190 euros, a small commercial gesture would have been appreciated!
It should also be noted that there is no electric bollard, despite the environmental claim of the campsite, and the difficulty of finding a bollard (available) in the area.
