Very good step

Located a little above a picturesque village in Vicdessos, the Relais d'Endron takes over the building of the old village school.
Charming and available manager.
Very good dormitory with good mattresses, organized in two rooms of 5 and 4 beds.
Clean and comfortable toilets.
Classic and sufficient breakfast.
Tasty and hearty evening meal: starter, main course, cheese, dessert AND quarter wine (25 Euros).
Perfect for one stage, or for several days.
The Relais is located on the GR10 and makes a good starting point for several hikes.

Stop comfort

A simple and friendly welcome.A good and hearty evening meal and an ideal breakfast before resuming stage of the GR 10.Clean dormitories. Nestled in a green setting that makes it an invigorating stopover.The owner is attentive to the needs of hikers.

an example to follow...

A special mention for Luke who runs this cottage: hikers as a couple, autonomous, we were welcomed with sympathy, kindness and attention.
Rather than send us to pitch the tent in the bivouac area outside the village, Luc offered us... the garden!
Hikers arrived as they went, and despite a group of seminarians spending 2 days there, he proposed a solution to each of the "cases"!...
Luc takes "things" with bonhomie and simplicity which greatly facilitates conviviality... and communication...
He is also an excellent cook! In the end, we all sympathized...!!

Do not visit at the end of August

We were walking GR10 and were staying here on Saturday 29 August 2015. We arrived and were looked after by the young daughter of the owners who did not really acknowledge us. Our rooms were fine we were given sheets and pillowcases to make our own beds. Dinner was acceptable and afterwards we went for a walk around Goulier which is interesting but was deserted.
We could hear very very loud pop music echoing from somewhere in the village. We assumed that it was some sort of local fête and would finish about 11 o'clock or midnight. How wrong we were they stopped playing at 5.00 am. Shutting windows in our room made no difference it so loud it was absolutely impossible to sleep. A French walker we had chatted with the night before was going ballistic complaining as
we went down for breakfast saying the majority of guests were walkers an it was completely unacceptable to be kept awake like that.
I complained too and left my email address as I was promised an apology from the mayor, two months later I have heard nothing. The owners appeared to be sympathetic but as they knew about the problem they should have at least put us in rooms on the other side of the building.
Without the music would I recommend it as a place to stay? maybe as there are not many alternatives but I think the owners know that.

Perfect for hikers on GR10

In a very nice village on the track GR10, between Marc and Siguer, in our case. Clean and spacious dormitory in the attic. Good straightforward food, but not as friendly hosts as in other places along our route. Very quiet and beautifully situated.
