A paradise at the foot of the Aravis.

Chalet 1864 is a blend of a magical place, a caring hostess who renovated it with love, a talented chef who enhances every ingredient, and a pleasant and attentive team. We had an unforgettable moment there, out of time.

A little gem that we don’t want to leave

Our stay at Chalet 1864 will remain an exceptional memory. Located at the bottom of the valley after the village of Grand-Bornand, this establishment perfectly combines the authenticity of a Savoyard chalet and the comfort of upscale accommodation.
Welcoming by Peggy and her daughter was of rare quality: kindness, availability and little touches punctuated our entire stay. Upon arrival, you really feel expected , welcome and like home.
The rooms are decorated with impeccable taste, combining noble wood, natural materials and contemporary touches. Soundproofing, high quality bedding and panoramic views of the Aravis Mountains offer absolute rest.
The facilities are remarkable: indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, relaxation areas and high quality food thanks to Chef Diego. Without forgetting to mention the Pantagruelique breakfast and composed of fresh produce from the region.Everything is thought for comfort and relaxation, in an environment of impeccable cleanliness.
The surrounding calm, reinforced by the isolation of the site, invites a real disconnection, while remaining close to the slopes and activities of the Grand-Bornand.
In short, Chalet 1864 is an exceptional address where every detail counts, supported by a warm and personalized Welcoming. A place that we unreservedly recommend to anyone looking for serenity, comfort and authenticity in the heart of the Alps.

Fabuleux

We had a great time, everything was perfect.
The room in a beautiful chalet, the swimming pool at the top, excellent meals, even the snack was offered!
All the staff is very nice and caring; Peggy is very considerate but keeping an incredible simplicity and kindness.
A big thank you to everyone, the only small regret is that we had to go back... Fortunately we are not far so we will definitely come back!

Farmhouse luxury

This was our third stay at Chalet 1864, proving that it is a great destination both in summer and winter. The rustic farmhouses offer a staying-with-friends atmosphere coupled with a high level of comfort and serene spa. The staff is dedicated to the well-being of its guests. The Aravis suite with fireplace is almost a private chalet in itself and is highly recommended for a group or two couples.

A magical stay

We spent 3 nights at Chalet 1864, and they were just magical... Everything is together to have a wonderful stay! Thanks again to Peggy and his whole team, just amazing and always available! We will return without hesitation if the opportunity arises.
