An old Inn full of charm

Driven on arrival by a Pension in Bormes les Mimosas that had already disrespected the Reservation, we had to look for a Pension available at the last minute, once there.
Only the islet Fleuri in Lavandou still had a room available.
Great was our surprise to discover this Inn: an old family home in the same style as the hotels our grandparents took us to when we were children. What memories.
As their website says, "pure juice without chi chi." It is true that this Pension lived, that is what makes it charming and authentic. And that we love.
Externally and internally, we have leapt in time, while enjoying a certain comfort and a certain modernity.
Facing the sea, this vintage house shines amid modern buildings and junk food temples (not all), like an old lady having tea in a trendy bar.
Beyond a certain obsolescence and simplicity, it is the holiday spirit of the French Riviera as it was that makes its charm. It's kind of a mood museum. You still have to be sensitive...
Its location, 20 meters from the beach, its private parking, its tranquility and its particularly quiet clientele make it an ideal place to stay at Lavandou.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, bright, with flat screen TV, silent air conditioning, free wifi. The bathroom is functional. Bed linen and towels are clean.
Hearty breakfasts are served in a room, as in the days of our grandparents.
The islet Fleuri helped make our stay at Lavandou very pleasant, thanks to this family.

Extremely kind, helpful staff, it's very clean, very generous breakfast. The hotel is old. THANKS

There is air conditioning, two parking spaces, toilet and shower in the room, comfortable bed. The hotel is near the beach, it's quiet. It is certainly old-fashioned but it has a lot of charm. In the top.

ambiance lovely like being in an old colonial hotel somewhere , great service

we usually stay at another hotel but could only stay there 3 days so booked into this hotel, it is a bit in need of updating in pa
laces but what a find, our room was clean and comfortable, we had a terrace with a sea view to die for, wisteria and bougainvellea trailing over wrought iron.
breakfast was available in your room on your terrace and the owner couldn't have been more helpful, carrying our luggage to the room lovely stay

Charm and location

Only stayed one night but the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Very attractive balconies in rooms on the sea side of the hotel. Some may be concerned at the rooms being subdivided to accommodate toilet and small bathroom, especially if staying for more than a couple of days, but the charms of the building and the staff won us over.

Not impressed.

Location is very good, close to the beach. However, whomever designed the rooms was either drunk or high... Bathroom with walls not reaching the ceiling, toilet stuck in a corner of the room. Not even a hook for a shower head, you have to use it hand-held.
I've stayed in similarly priced places along the French Riviera with much higher standard. I'd advise to shop around before deciding on staying there.
