Great location!!!!

Hotel in a great location for reaching Mont Saint Michel on foot as well!
Good cleanliness, very friendly staff, free private parking (although you do have to pay for the entrance at the barrier)
The rooms are very basic and lack both an elevator (there are a maximum of two floors) and air conditioning.
Breakfast is also good, although, like in many establishments, it is quite expensive.

Basic hotel with one large irritation

There is one significant irritation about this place. A gate controls the entrance to the hotel area. You need a code to get through the gate. The hotel very helpfully sends you an email telling you about the code at 2 minutes before midnight the night before your reservation. Nothing is said about this in the reservation confirmation. Zero.
Additionally there is a charge for parking. Nothing is said about that either, in the hotel listing or in the reservation confirmation. If you haven't read the email from midnight last night, you pull up to the gate and you have no idea what to do. I absolutely hate being blindsided. Just tell me what to do in the reservation confirmation and I will be prepared.
There are very limited services available inside the parking gate. I have no idea what happens with your parking charge and your code and your ticket if you try to leave the hotel complex to go to the real town a couple of km away.
Hotel itself is very, very basic. I suppose two stars is fair. No amenities in the room, no coffee, no kettle for hot water.
I'm very lucky that I'm not here in a heat wave. See the other comments about room temperature.

Very helpful staff and a great location for Mont St Michel which was a lovely flat 30 minute walk away (free busses are available but packed at peak times). However the hotel is looking a little tired, carpets need replacing & rooms refurbishing also there’s no lift or air con - it was very hot when we stayed. Breakfast was ok for the price although the only black tea available was Earl Grey which doesn’t suit most people’s tastes.
Incidentally the restaurant next door “La Salicorne” is excellent, we ate there 2 nights.

Just strange my room wasn’t available until 5 pm. I’ve never had a room check in later than 3 pm so a bit annoying.

Room 101 was toasted when the outside temp was 17C

We were well aware that the hotel does not have AC. But seeing that the temperature was going to be in the 10s (C) we thought it was going to be OK. Booked two rooms and checked into 101 and 103. 103 was totally fine. 101 on the other hand, was extremely hot even when the outside was only 17 degrees (C). When we opened the window to cool off, bugs galore, mosquitos included. Couldn't get another room because the hotel was fully booked.
So we had to sit in the dark and kept the window wide open. At midnight. On the first floor. Just to have livable temperature.
Yes we checked and the heater was not on.
Avoid this hotel if the weather is hot. And even if it isn't, avoid Room 101. Something's toasting that room. We don't know what.
