Very pleasant stay

We wanted a friendly, unpretentious place near the Abbey of Le Thoronet, and the Clos des Médiévales filled the bill perfectly for our family of 4 plus small dog! The rooms are spartan but clean; beds are comfortable; heater works (we stayed in December); the woman at the reception is friendly and helpful; and the breakfast is very good. Prices for rooms and breakfast are extremely reasonable. And -- unexpected bonus -- the new restaurant the receptionist recommended was excellent. We liked it so much at dinner that we returned the next day for lunch. We'll definitely stay here the next time we visit l'Abbaye du Thoronet. Only hitch: Wi-Fi did not work in our room; but it was fine in the breakfast room.
PS I don't think Alex looked to carefully for the outlets. We had no trouble with our computers. And all you have to do is ask at the reception desk for the free mineral water.

Really not up to par

Improvements are evident! We spent 15 minutes going in circles in this village because the GPS couldn't find it! Easy problem to solve (lots of comments say so!)
Our room had a smell of sewage, this is unacceptable! The bed has two holes in the sleeping area, soft and sunken mattress...
At 6 a.m. the gardeners started talking LOUDly under our windows!
Breakfast is €9: avoid! Everything is in bags (except pain au chocolat and bread) and it’s not great
The young person at reception is perfect and helpful… I gave her a 3

Did the trick

We went to a wedding in the area and wanted to stay over night. Clean decent rooms. We were 3 families and we were right next to each other. Not many people ther in fact we were the only one until a couple checked in. Nice enough breakfast if you choose to have it. Not too expensive as well. PROBLEM: the reception area closed at noon the day we were there. No phone number to call posted on the door. We ran into the housekeeper by chance. She was getting ready to leave and showed us to our rooms.. The keys were inside the room. Not a problem. Also 2 min walk to the village. as we were getting ready for the wedding a couple came and didn't know what to do to check in. I sent them to the village to call the number on the conformation receipt. They were lucky I was there and that I asked the housekeeper what we would have done if she wasn't there. That's how I knew.

Stayed six nights.

While attending European Dressage championships for Junior/ Young Riders nearby at Vidauban. Rooms with breakfast, exactly that! Clean, neat and comfortable rooms with every basic necessity provided. Comfortable bed and air conditioning that was efficient, just as well since the temperatures during the week we were there, were between 35 and 40 degrees C! Adequate breakfast efficiently provided. Access to local quaint village by few minutes walk and two or three more than adequate places to eat. Excellent value for money.

Awful stay at the hotel

the room has a coffee maker and a lamp, however there is no outlet to plug them into. There is only one plug, connected to a TV, so if you want to use something else you need to move a table and plug/unplug what you need
