Loved it!

This is a fabulous place to stay, and a hugely refreshing change from traditional hotels.
Proprietor Christine was a delight, and instantly made us feel welcome (despite our pathetic grasp of French). It was a hot day, and so we made use of the pool soon after we arrived, and Christine brought out wine for us to enjoy as we soaked up the setting sun at the end of the day.
The room was impeccable. Christine obviously doesn't subscribe to the normal mantra of putting cheap and chearful, identikit furniture and decorations in guest rooms. It was one of the most luxurious rooms I've stayed in for a long time and had been created with love and passion, and a very good eye. More than that, everything worked!
Breakfast was also brilliant; sitting at long tables sharing stories with other guests while enjoying freshly baked breads and pastries, and an assortment of condiments that one felt duty-bound to try. (I convinced myself that they were all healthy options.)
Definitely on our list of places to revisit!

Reservation canceled upon arrival.

It is difficult to rate a place I have not been to. The owner canceled my reservation upon my arrival, stating that "to err is human," so I do not know what the inside of the lodge looks like. After several exchanges, she offered no solution and told me that with "a bit of charm" I could have found a cheaper hotel on a holiday weekend night.

Caring experience

Christine is unfailingly benevolent and has an unparalleled sense of sharing.
His home is a place of appeasement and comfort very pleasant.
Thank you Christine for your welcome and sympathy.
I highly recommend this place for a getaway in the marl.

Perfect

An excellent establishment. Large rooms, excellent and clean. Bathroom large and plenty of towels. Minor negative, no proper bars of soap. Breakfast, served in the conservatory, was plentiful and very good. There is a nice looking swimming pool, and pleasant gardens. Plenty of secure parking. Madame is very friendly and helpful.
