Very nice hotel

Excellent Welcoming, the room Daffodils is superb and very large. It has a balcony overlooking the forest... view more
The bathroom is separated from the toilet which is very nice.
Breakfast a little expensive though

Dirty hotel and far from being a castle

From the outside it looks nice but inside it turns out to be a dirty, old and poorly cared for place. The smell of dog food in the lobby makes it nauseabondo.Il price is completely disproportionate to what it is in reality.

Charming location, great village and good nights sleep

A warm welcome by the host. This is an old hotel with charming rooms (we had the pink room) and good for 1-2 nights so you can enjoy the surroundings (amazing caves, cute village on the riverfront). It's functional and although the decoration is nice, it could be more modern. It is not possible to eat at the residence but it’s quiet and in a walking distance from town. Has a nice and well-maintained swimming pool on the grounds where it is refreshing to cool down after a long drive (you get towels for the pool).
The establishment is located a few hundred meters from the Lascaux caves.
A good address but probably needs some refurbishing in coming years.

To believe Chatelain!

Very good location. Large hilly park with cattle on pasture. Majestic setting. Absolute calm. Well prepared breakfasts. Some rooms lack furniture (one armchair, closet without enough height to hang a coat)

Basic wouldn’t go back

We upgraded to the hotel from the self catering but wish we had stayed self catering. It was like being self catering in a hotel room but with no self catering facilities. The rooms were in need of modernisation also.
The grounds were beautiful but there was no place to sit out and enjoy. There was a bar that was never used and no one around in the day or evening to get food or drink. I have never been to a hotel before and not brought one drink be it a coffee or drink in the evening.
The pool was nice enough - quite basic but again no place to get a good drink or snacks.
Good proximity to the town we walked in often and there was nice restaurants.
We cut our stay short as we wanted to a nice hotel looked after experience. I wouldn’t go back.
