Beautiful place!

A lovely hotel in the wine industry. Lived in a separate building with access to a patio. Nice big spacious room, clean. Large bathroom (slightly long drains and water dries on the floor after showering). Good dinner and breakfast.

Top location far from any hustle and bustle

Nicely located accommodation on a winery, about 2 km from main road (directions are not easy to find). The rooms are rather spartan and an occasional refresher would not hurt. We had an accessible room - which in the bathroom meant that the shower water was distributed throughout the room and drained very poorly.
Friendly owner couple, but a bit overwhelmed with dinner (must be booked in advance). We were still lucky and were served relatively quickly, but subsequent guests sometimes had to wait more than 1 hour until the menu order...
The food, on the other hand, was excellent, with good value for money. The in-house wines are priced very reasonably.
Breakfast is good, but a little more choice wouldn't hurt.
The Wi-Fi reception in the rooms is lousy, the mobile reception also very weak.

A little disappointing...

A little disappointed. Room with cobwebs. The pool is very good. The boss is nice but nothing crazy! Wifi network works very badly. Too bad...

Peaceful, rural retreat

The guest house had just re-opened for the season. We stayed one night whilst touring the Cévennes. We were made very welcome by Fredéric & his family & had a delicious evening meal & breakfast in this hillside retreat. The wines we tried were excellent. Our room was spacious & nicely furnished with a terrace but did not have a view of the mountains as there wasn’t one available when we booked. Our Labrador was made to feel very at home too! Plenty of walking in the surrounding vineyards.

A beautiful peaceful retreat, but needs an upgrade

Beautiful old farmhouse in the middle of farmland and vines.
Accommodation needs some updating especially the bathrooms. Our room had a leaking lavatory and mould on the tiles .
Wi-Fi very weak.
Small swimming pool with sun loungers, again needs updating and looking after.
Dinner served in main building where there is also a wine cave for purchasing wine. Booking necessary for dinner. Very reasonably priced, some choice for starters and desert but no choice for main course. Not really a place for vegetarians, as the main course was meat based both nights we were there, but they were both very good.
Husband and wife team run Blancardy with husband front of house. Pleasant but too many rules and notices stuck everywhere about not allowing picnics in the rooms! Ice not allowed in the rose wine, drinks not allowed to be taken to one’s room or private terrace, same also with coffee cups. Breakfast is good but the notice about clearing your plates away on trays provided makes it feel a bit like a school trip.
I loved Blancardy when I visited almost 20 years ago. It is still a lovely place but needs more staff paying attention to cleaning generally both inside and out. The main building and reception closes after breakfast until 4.30 pm. Slightly odd for a hotel which apparently also caters for weddings etc.
