Watch out for street muggers

Hotel is basic, although the breakfast is okay. Staff do not speak English and on the 2nd morning we had to ask for a toilet roll as our room hadn't been refreshed. No fridge or kettle in room which I think is bad for a 4 star hotel.
We had to ask for the bar to be opened so we could get a drink.
On the last night we had gone to the local supermarket to get a sandwich and my Husband was mugged outside the hotel on the way back. He had a gold chain ripped from his neck.
If you do decide to this hotel be VERY VERY vigilant around the hotel.
We won't be coming here again

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I’m giving one star only for the decent interior and fairly spacious rooms. Access was frustrating — you need a card to open the sliding door, and with only one receptionist available during weekends, we were lucky a guest opened it for us. The welcome was cold and unprofessional. Though breakfast was included in our booking, the receptionist couldn’t find it in their system and said she’d check later. welcome was so
The lift ride was like a roller coster a shaky ride. In our room, the washbasin tap was broken. The same receptionist came to check but couldn’t fix it and said we had to wait until morning for a technician. After complaining, a maintenance person finally showed up and fixed it.
The hotel lacks basic 4-star amenities — no pool, gym, minibar, or even complimentary water. The kettle didn’t work because the cord was too short to reach the socket. I had to use the coffee machine from the adjoining room since ours was a connected family room.
Breakfast was a disaster all days. The eggs were cold, watery, and tasted off — clearly pre-boiled and reheated in water. Limited choices, no proper refills, and completely unmotivated staff. When we requested anything, they responded with visible irritation and no courtesy.
Nothing gets replenished unless asked — be it coffee, sugar, or water — and even then, it's done with attitude. Overall, a disappointing and frustrating stay. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our experience at the Mercure Nanterre was very poor and certainly not a 4* experience. The hotel was previously a 3* hotel and this is clearly evident throughout. We arrived on a Sunday evening at 5pm to a closed hotel, with no entry possible except by waving to one of two hotel staff inside. The doors were kept closed as they did not anticipate any guests (despite our booking). The bistro was not open as "we do not normally open at weekends".Neither of these are indicators of a 4* service. The rooms are extremely small, again because they cannot change the size of the room from a 3* offering, despite the rebranding of the hotel. We also had incidences of staff entering our room unannounced as they expected the two internal lockable doors to be kept shut and locked (we kept them open); we had been sold a "communicating family room" which is only true of we can keep the internal doors open. When I communicated this to the manager I received offensive responses including one accusing me of extortion (!) Overall this remains a 3* hotel and the attempts to make it appear as a 4* is an exercise making greater profit but not fair to customers

Silent and comfortable room

Nice hotel well located (2 minutes walk from rer A)
The rooms are clean and quiet, pillows and comfortable mattresses.
There is a nice TV, coffee maker, mini fridge and safe
A large bathroom with bath and toilet.,(damage toilet in the bathroom)
The flaws: the card demagnetizes if several round trips during the day, a 30-minute wait to fix the card problem.
