Stifling chicken coop.

We went to the Duquesne hotel as a family. Upon our arrival, we needed information regarding the partner parking, so we called the hotel in advance, but the person on the phone did not understand my request.... there was a difficulty in understanding our language.
Upon our arrival at 5 PM, we were assigned a family room on the 5th floor. Once in the room, we had the unpleasant surprise of not having air conditioning.... it was 37 degrees outside and just as hot in the room. However, a fan was available to us, but sleeping under the roof at 37 degrees with the fan running meant that no one could close their eyes.....
The next day, we had an appointment at the hospital, and a person from the hotel called me to ask for the parking card. I told him that the website indicated we had 24 hours of parking for 10 euros, so until 5 PM, but he told me no, that we had to return the card by noon....
Not to mention the unfriendly staff, the dreary room, the bedspread on the child's bed was stained, and it was impossible to read on the bed against the headboard because the box spring slid on the carpet.......
In short, a nightmare....

Great location and very reasonable price

I slept at this hotel one night. Its location is very convenient in the center of Nantes. Comfort is good, bedding comfortable and I slept very well. On the other hand the room, without any decoration on the wall and with a neon light on the ceiling as main light, was a sadness...
I did not test breakfast, having decided to hang out in bed as late as possible.

Right in the center, this cozy hotel denotes the remarkable dedication of its staff and excellent value for money!

The hotel Duquesne, in the center of Nantes, is particularly recommended for the quality of its welcome and the dedication of the staff. All at a very affordable price. The "Chief Receptionist" noticed my great fatigue and the check-in formalities were kept to a minimum. He helped me carry my luggage to the room and the hotel team, very friendly, took care as requested of Belgian chocolates for friends... The room is very decent and quiet despite the proximity to a large avenue. A small flat however, and the only one, there are opaque hangings certainly, but no curtains, which hinders a certain privacy of clothing, passers-by having a direct view of the room... I appreciated being reminded of the breakfast time (€10) by phone. Check-out is at 11 a.m., but there is luggage storage if necessary. You don’t have to look for noon to 2 p.m., this friendly hotel is perfect for budget travelers!
