Safe, Clean, Convenient, Comfortable Stay
My daughter and I stayed here for 8 nights and we loved everything about Hotel Veryste. It is clean, comfortable, convenient, safe, and the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful especially Lori and Mike. Would definitely stay here again when we go back to Paris!

Very disappointing experience.
Three days before our stay, a €100 deposit was taken from my bank account without any prior warning. I understand that deposits are common in hotels, but some communication beforehand would have been appreciated. and by the end of our stay it felt as though the hotel was comfortable applying additional charges because it already had access to the funds.
At checkout, we discovered that charges had been taken from this deposit for services we never requested. We were charged for having the bedding changed despite never asking for it. There were a few small marks on the white bedsheets during our stay, which is not unusual with white bedding, but at no point did we ask for the sheets to be changed. When we questioned this, we were told we should have used the “Do Not Disturb” sign if we didn’t want the sheets changed. This was never explained to us at any point during our stay.
We were also charged for items supposedly taken from the minibar, despite never using it.
Customer service was poor throughout. Staff repeatedly referred to us as “the English girls”, which felt unprofessional. The receptionist on departure was dismissive of our concerns and appeared to laugh when we tried to explain our frustration regarding the charges.
Overall, poor communication, unexpected charges, and disappointing customer service. We left feeling frustrated and would not stay here again.

This hotel is ideally located in the 9th if you're happy to walk within a 25 min radius of most attractions. It's a pleasant and safe neighbourhood with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The hotel itself is very small as are the rooms which is most typical of Paris. Ideal if you're after just a place to sleep in a big comfy clean bed, albeit the room is tiny as is the shower room and separate toilet (without a sink) Personally I would not rate this hotel as 4 Star - it's in need of a refurbishment and tired looking. The pictures are a little misleading. Saying this the staff are pleasant and helpful and the rates are reasonable for Paris. We enjoyed being close enough to walk to places or get Ubers which are again reasonable.

Construction works ongoing next door
Literally each morning at 0700 am the building next door would start building works.
This consisted of hammers and drills and would go on the entire morning.
I raised it with a staff member who said “Oh yes next door is having work done”. Couldn’t move room - not that it would help.
Massively disappointed.
