Beautiful B&B in a Tranquil village

This B&B is run by Doris and her husband who is a sculptor. They are very nice people and excellent hosts. Lots of steps to the top of the village but the view is fantastic. Breakfast was delicious with strawberries from Doris' garden. The room was clean with a beautiful bathroom and lovely view from the windows. Doris gave us advice on buying confit de canard and pates from a local farm and they were delicious. On our last day, we had an early flight and Doris made us baguettes to take away to the airport. There is an art gallery on the ground floor.

Very nice place, but...

The house, located in a beautiful village at the crossroads of the 3 gorges, offers a quiet terrace very pleasant to have breakfast concocted by Doris (yoghurt, jams, cake or homemade bread and local organic products). Access to the villages of Peyreleau and Le Rosier is on foot, which is very convenient. However, the house does not have parking, you have to park below, so better not to be too busy and be warned, which was not our case (we had trouble finding the house). And we were very disappointed by our suite Hermitage with very dated decoration, dubious carpet and very summary bathroom with unseparated toilet, whose windows face alley for the modest sum of 160 euros per night anyway! There is no double glazing, no air conditioning, only a fan, which forced us to sleep with the windows open due to the strong heat, without mosquito net. The extra bed was not made, and we were asked 10 extra euros per night to do it! We still had a very pleasant stay because the area and its people are amazing, and Doris and her husband are very friendly, but the price was way too high for the services offered.

Mesdames, vous avez passé un bon séjour à l' Ermitage, nous vous remercions pour vos appréciations.
Notre maison d'hôtes est située sur les hauteur de Peyreleau, village classé. Il est bien noté sur booking et sur notre site que le stationnement est situé dans la seule rue pour riverains, ce qui vous permettait de stationner gratuitement à 80 m de la maison, cette rue est visible de notre jardin, et un plan d'accès vous a été adressé bien avant votre arrivée .
La suite de 30 m2 se compose de 2 pièces, et votre réservation BOOKING.COM était pour un lit de 160cm! le lit supplémentaire est un vrai lit et non un lit d'appoint, celui ci est installé dans la 2 eme pièce. La climatisation n'est pas souhaitée dans cet ancien couvent, car la fraicheur y est ressentie en été surtout les nuits où la température baisse agréablement et toutes les chambres offrent plusieurs fenêtres sans double vitrage certes , le village étant très silencieux et nos locations étant ouvertes que pour l'été. Un ventilateur silencieux est présent dans la suite.
La fenêtre de la salle de bain offre une vue sur un charmante ruelle piétonne pittoresque et très calme.
Le tarif que vous avez payé sur booking comprend les frais de booking et aussi le petit déjeuner pour 2personnes.

Very mixed

The setting is beautiful - stunning views in an old and highly charming medieval village. Being in the wonderful garden is a bit of heaven. Our room, however, was merely adequate. The bed was on the hard side, making sleep a bit difficult. The decor was very plain. There was only a handheld shower and no way to take a standard shower.

Wonderful but short stay...

I would recommend the L'Ermitage de Peyreleau after our stay there in April. Our room was spacious, very clean, great bed and bedding and an amazing view. Nice separate toilet and bathroom. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but interesting and quirky. The host Doris was so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the included breakfast. The village and area are beautiful and we would have liked to have more time to explore. The price was very reasonable as well. Recommend!!

Superb home and view!

I stay few nights in this place and it s was very lovely. The room was large and beautiful with original furniture. We have also an amazing landscape from the window and from the terrace. We also take our breakfast on the terrace in front of this beautiful view.
