A peaceful stay with kind hosts and a very good restaurant
If you stay here, I also recommend eating in their restaurant. It was a nice experience with really good food. I still think about the escargot and mushroom starter.
I absolutely recommend staying here.

Rather old , attention the floor is double and without elevator for the rooms on the 1st.
Room according to description but be careful no elevator and double floor, if you are disabled or have difficulty walking, not obvious.
It seems that the host is heading towards a bed and breakfast activity and a part in works.

What an experience!
We did not discover that there was no hot water in the room until the following morning when we could not use the bath or shower. The patron and his wife spoke no English and my French is usually just about adequate to survive in hotels and restaurants where no English is spoken. When I settled the bill the following day I told the patron I thought the restaurant was excellent but that €100 was too expensive for a room with no hot water so that we could not take a shower. He began to shout at me that there was always hot water and that for the shower I should have pressed the button on the tap to send the water to the shower over the bath. Eventually, after some argument, he telephoned his wife in the hotel who came over to the reception and confirmed there was no hot water. They then began shouting at each other and I suspect one of them had forgotten to switch on the water heater. He continued to shout at me that we could have used the shower until I pointed out to him that the water was cold. He then disappeared and his wife reappeared. She told me the system was broken (a synonym for foggetting to switch it on?), and it was not their fault that there was no hot water so I could not expect a price reduction. I did obtain a €15 nominal reduction after some time but the whole debacle and animosity with which it was given was upsetting. I suspect that, despite the good restaurant, we would not return!

Hotel better than restaurant
The hotel was well kept, the room had every amenity we look for (outlet and surface fir miscellaneous items on each side of the bed, good reading lights, places to put items in the room and bathroom, good shower, good breakfast with variety, secure storage for bikes.
We were a bit disappointed in the dinner we had at the restaurant.
