Excellent first stay at Tribe Saint Ouen (I will be back soon!)
I got a great offer on a 3 night stay including breakfast. I prefer to stay out of the centre and love the Paris flea markets so the location was perfect for me. Everything in Paris is reachable by Metro in 15-20 minutes using the Mairie de Saint Ouen station which is almost directly opposite the hotel.
The area feels safe and modern, there are many restaurants and fast food places nearby, a Franprix supermarket is close by and a very nice boulangerie/patisserie opposite.
The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable (although quite high up if you're short like me!). Hot drinks facilities were welcome plus chilled filtered water can be obtained from a dispenser near the lift.
Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold buffet, fresh bread and pastries, fruit, hot drinks and my favourite the delicious freshly baked madeleines.
There is a pleasant outdoor seating area which would be lovely in the summer.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Check out was 12pm but I was able to leave my luggage to pick up later in the afternoon as I was on a later train home.
If you're visiting the flea markets, Puces de Saint Ouen is walkable in about 25 to 30 minutes or hop on the 85 bus which stops right near the authentic vintage and antique shops.
Puces de Vanves in the south of Paris is easy to get to, take line 13 metro direct to Porte de Vanves in about 25 minutes.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Tribe and will definitely return. Merci!

HORRIBLE
Catastrophic experience - absolutely to be avoided
Reservation made 6 months in advance (on 01/25 for one night on 06/20) everything was confirmed on our end. Result: upon arrival at the reception, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked and that there simply were no rooms available for us. No room despite a reservation honored and paid for months in advance.
We specifically chose this hotel for its proximity to the Stade de France where we had a concert that very evening. After 30 minutes of waiting at the reception without apologies or convincing explanations, we were sent to another hotel - except that in reality, it was 1.5 km away, or a 20-minute walk, and not nearby as announced. First delay to our evening.
But the worst was yet to come: once we arrived at this other hotel (the Hampton by Hilton), we were informed that they had received NO call and NO reservation in our name. Nothing. The Tribe didn't even bother to check that the alternative solution they proposed was actually in place. We had to call the Tribe ourselves to have them regularize the situation with the other establishment. Another 45 minutes wasted for a problem that was absolutely not our fault.
In total: more than 1 hour and 15 minutes lost managing the consequences of their overbooking, a concert that started late, and enormous stress while we had anticipated everything and made reservations properly six months in advance.
The only good news of that evening: the staff at the Hampton by Hilton Saint-Ouen was extremely professional and responsive in finding us a room in an emergency, without any credit to the Tribe.
Overbooking an establishment and leaving customers without a solution upon arrival, without any anticipation or communication, is simply unacceptable. No gesture, no apology worthy of the name on site.
We will never set foot in this hotel again and do not recommend it to anyone. Avoid if you have a schedule to keep.

The “air conditioning” was the poorest of any hotel I have ever stayed in which is inexcusable given how hot Paris is in summer.

Once again, an excellent stay - highly recommended!!!
After I enjoyed my stay at this hotel so much last year, I booked the Tribe in Saint Ouen sur Seine again very early this year for another 6 nights and was absolutely thrilled with my stay there this year!!!
The breakfast buffet has become even better in both quantity and quality than last year (several types of high-quality cold cuts and cheese, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, and other warm offerings such as potatoes, ratatouille, chicken, and bacon), and for those who prefer sweeter options, as I personally do, there are also various jams, etc. The baked goods, such as bread and croissants, also tasted excellent to me. There are tasty hot drinks available from the machines, and carafes with various juices are also ready. Surely I have also forgotten to mention or overlooked one or two things (like probably the margarine, which I searched for in vain last year and only found butter as a less healthy alternative).
The breakfast room also serves as a bar, and in suitable weather, one can sit comfortably on the adjacent terrace.
The staff appeared particularly friendly to me this year without exception. The room (I was very fortunate to have the same room as last year) was very spacious, well-equipped (including an iron), modernly designed, and very clean.
I also really liked that the rooms are soundproof, so nothing can be heard from other rooms.
The (box spring) beds are very comfortable, although they are quite high for relatively short people like me. The mattresses are - at least for my perception - by no means too hard, the comforters are very cozy, and there are two pillows to choose from per side of the bed (1 x 80 x 80 cm and 1 x 40 x 80 cm).
I was only a little sad that I had to miss three soccer games of our national teams on television, as the only German channels offered are 3-Sat, KiKa, and ZDF-Info; however, this was bearable since one does not travel to the most beautiful city in the world to sit in front of the television.
Since I had booked for 6 nights, I brought my small collapsible textile wardrobe again, because the hotel - as is common in many French hotels - does not have a wardrobe or drawers, but only an open clothes rack with a few hangers.
The location of the hotel is also excellent: Directly across the street is the metro station for lines 13 and 14, which run at very short intervals, allowing one to reach Paris very quickly, and in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (This suburb of St. Ouen, which I have known since 1977, has changed enormously positively, by the way!) there are numerous very good and also reasonably priced dining establishments (if one wants to stay nearby) as well as shops. For me, there is no better hotel in the Paris area as a starting point for my activities, so I will always book there for my future trips to Paris and can also wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to others!!!
