The ibis Saint-Quentin Basilique, a 3-star hotel right in the centre of Saint-Quentin, welcomes you to the heart of this Art Deco town in Upper Picardy.

Very welcoming hotel
3-star hotel, very well located, facing the basilica in the city center.
We were welcomed by a kind person who immediately cared about my visual impairment and my needs in the room.
Our room (accessible) was clean, spacious, and had air conditioning.
The bedding was of good quality.
Breakfast was €13.50 per adult, the buffet was well-stocked, and there was something for everyone (savory, sweet).
A very appreciable little extra: next to the elevator, there was a water fountain (cold, room temperature, and sparkling) with self-service syrups to flavor it: green mint, peppermint, violet, and coconut. A very good idea because it was a heatwave during our stay.
I recommend this hotel, clean and well-maintained with very pleasant and helpful staff, to anyone who wants to spend a stay in Saint Quentin.

Specific problems - but no way for me to address directly with Ibis on their site
Well I tried hard to work out where to feed back within Ibis site - impossible! So my comments will go here.
It seemed newly refurbished and fine but there were two very irritating things -
There were no cups (paper fine) for the water I need to take medication at bed time, and so had to dress and go down to get. Also, the bathroom bin had no lid, which I assume would be a nightmare for a menstruating woman in some circumstances, or for people with certain medical conditions. Never come across either problem before, in quite a bit of travelling.

Simple and good
Nice hotel in front of the cathedral with short distances to the old town. Public parking available in front of the cathedral. Perfect for a stopover or a weekend. Breakfast is also available at the hotel, but there is a delicious bakery just 100 meters away…

Typical ibis. Hot. Small room. AC not working.
Central opposite large church.
Part of a Leger tour.
A typical Ibis hotel. Clean and had friendly staff. The top floors (4&5) were very hot. The AC did not work. Bedroom very small , clean but hot. Beds very comfortable.
I had to help some elderly guests (with my schoolboy french), who needed fans, which the man on the front desk kindly got. He told me, in French, that the AC was "working yesterday". Well it isn't working now mon ami ! ;)
Breakfast was good.

Disappointed
Just an overnight stop on our way home. I know Ibis is a budget chain and it shows!
The room was rather dated with few amenities (not even a glass in the bathroom to use when cleaning your teeth). The A/C was very loud and the shower was verging on dangerous (very slippery and raised up about 2o cm with no handrails) . Breakfast was good quality but limited. The dole member of staff in check in was helpful though.
All this is a shame as it’s in a fantastic location
