€249 per night for a dirty bubble and an unusable jacuzzi: immense disappointment.
An immense disappointment for our fourteen years as a couple.
We chose L’Étape en Forêt to celebrate our fourteen years together, seduced by the photos of a place that seemed paradisiacal and by the promise of a romantic night in a bubble with a jacuzzi. Unfortunately, we quickly became disillusioned.
Upon our arrival, the welcome felt extremely impersonal: a speech recited almost mechanically, very little real listening, and no genuine interest in our responses. But the worst was yet to come when we discovered our accommodation.
The bubble was dirty. The windows and transparent walls were covered in marks, to the point that it was nearly impossible to properly admire the sky, which is precisely one of the main attractions of this type of accommodation. The terrace was also very dirty, covered in leaves and bird droppings. The interior clearly lacked cleanliness, to the point that we left the place cleaner than we found it.
When we opened the refrigerator, water started to flow everywhere. That a refrigerator is set to minimum between rentals can be understood, but leaving it in this state before the arrival of guests poses a real hygiene problem.
The biggest disappointment was the jacuzzi. When we lifted the lid in the evening, we discovered murky water, uninviting, as well as very dirty inner edges. We therefore could not bring ourselves to use it, even though it was obviously an essential part of the service reserved and the price paid.
Upon our return from the restaurant around 9 PM, there was no one left on site. No interlocutor available, no night presence: we were completely left to ourselves. We then explored the site further and noted a particularly concerning lack of general maintenance: some cabins were cordoned off with tape, walkways seemed to be collapsing or had become impassable, several wooden structures were deteriorated, and some accommodations also appeared to be very poorly maintained.
I have traveled extensively throughout France and Corsica for work, regularly staying in hotels, campgrounds, guesthouses, and other accommodations. I had never encountered such a gap between the photos and reality, nor such a lack of cleanliness and maintenance for a service sold at this price.
We paid 249 euros for a single night, breakfast included. This is a significant amount, a real budget for many couples, and this service is absolutely not worth it. At this price, one is entitled to expect clean accommodations, a usable jacuzzi, well-maintained facilities, and a minimum presence in case of problems. Here, none of that was present.
This stay was supposed to be a beautiful memory for our fourteen years together. It will unfortunately remain as a huge disappointment.
Given the general state of the site, some blocked access points, the deteriorated facilities, and obvious hygiene and safety issues, it would be legitimate for the town hall or the relevant services to come and assess the situation and ensure that the conditions for welcoming the public are truly satisfactory. I do not know if inspections have already taken place, but in its current state, a serious check seems more than necessary to me.
I do not recommend this establishment in its current state and sincerely hope that a complete upgrade of cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and hospitality will be carried out quickly.

DISAPPOINTING
Hello, I am attaching all the non-transparent exchanges we had with this establishment. It is lengthy, but it can help form an opinion.
Good evening, I am sending you this email as the receptionist told me to do following our conversation. We are a couple and we stayed from May 29 to May 30, 2026, in one of your unusual accommodations, a bubble (the B3, I believe). Upon our arrival, we were surprised to find no television in the bubble, even though it was mentioned on your site; we reported it immediately, and the receptionist responded via message that there has been no television since 2022 and that your platform will correct the error quickly (a small apology in the message would have been appreciated). We then replied via message that we were disappointed and asked if the platform offers a commercial gesture for this error; the message was read, but there was no response... and the next day, the receptionist still claimed not to have seen the message. Regarding the other inconveniences of the bubble, the Nordic bath is not at all at the temperature you indicate on your site and verbally (about 40°), but much higher; it is impossible to enjoy it without risking burns. Following your advice, we added cold water with a hose that had two leaks, one of which was quite significant. The first entrance door of the bubble did not close and did not open properly; it required abnormal force, and moreover, it could not be locked. The cleanliness of the bubble needs to be reviewed, particularly regarding the transparency that hinders good visibility, which is unfortunate because it is one of the essential aspects of a bubble. The bathroom does not match the photo on the site. The bed is listed as a double bed on the site and then further down as a king, which also causes confusion between a standard double bed and a king-size bed. The incessant noise from the blower that inflates the bubble; we will inquire if this is also present in other bubbles as it is in yours. The small air conditioning unit in the bubble is nearly useless as it does not cool. Regarding the site, it is a beautiful place; however, it seems to be taking a turn for the worse, with your treehouses inaccessible for some time and a mini farm that is not maintained with only two goats; we also find this unfortunate. We are accustomed to this type of unusual stay, with wellness facilities (SPA, sauna, hammam...); we even participated in a report on TF1 about this, but for us, the bubble was a discovery, and we are disappointed. We hope that you will take this email into account; normally, yes, according to the receptionist, contrary to some reviews on the internet that say you do not respond. We will not return to your site; we hope for a total or partial financial compensation for our stay, which amounts to 260.20 euros (night in the bubble, breakfast, two pizzas). Without a response from you, we will already forward this email to the town hall of Noues de Sienne. Everything is too expensive compared to the quality of the goods and services you offer, such as the breakfast, which does not meet the price requested; a good coffee in a thermos would be more appreciated than a Senseo pod, for example. Regarding the technical points you raised:
The specifics of the bubble: The noise from the blower and the inertia of the auxiliary air conditioning are not malfunctions, but rather normal and inseparable technical characteristics of a transparent inflatable accommodation in the heart of nature.
The equipment: We have noted the historical error regarding the mention of the television on one of our distribution channels, and we thank you for bringing it to our attention; it has been corrected. However, the absence of this equipment, in the context of an unusual disconnection, did not make your stay impossible. The television, in such a natural setting, has no place in this type of accommodation.
The Nordic bath: Our team immediately offered you a practical solution (the addition of cold water) to regulate the temperature to your liking, with the wood-fired heating remaining artisanal by nature.
While we understand your disappointment regarding certain aesthetic or communication details, these elements did not hinder the overall flow of your stay in any way. Therefore, we will not proceed with any refund, either total or partial, for your nights and meals consumed.

Flee!! Horrible stay
A night in a bubble:
Towels in the bathrooms, dead insects on the floor, a dirty transparent ceiling that spoils the view of the sky, and a major point is that the temperature dropped to 12 degrees during the night.
A 140x190 bed (my husband is 198cm tall) was just uncomfortable. A very small heater for the entire apartment ran at 35° all night (thankfully).
And no animals in the park as expected. Traveling with my 2-year-old daughter who was disappointed not to see any.
Park not maintained.
No commercial gesture. They are ignoring my emails.
Night paid 200 euros.
Absolutely to be avoided!

very cold quality leaves to desired..
Hello, very disappointed from the estate .. we were very cold all evening and night. I noise the ventilation and the cold it releases is unbearable. the spa very well but color of the water very cloudy .. we will leave disappointed, a breakfast at 24€ with 1 chocolate bread, 1 croissant, 1 very hard bread not possible to eat it. we do not leave with good memory.
