Dream stay

Situated in a magical setting with bright and beautifully decorated rooms, the hotel welcomed us with smiling and very kind staff.
The hotel restaurant prepared star-quality dishes with the magical touch of Francois Cardeaneau and his wife using incredible local market ingredients.
A relaxing and sporty stay at the same time with a very well-equipped gym and well-maintained tennis and paddle courts.
Thank you again for your warm welcome and kindness towards us.

A first ray of spring, a beautiful discovery....

In a sumptuous castle with a very British spirit, we stayed in a room with period charm, perfectly preserved.
The bathroom, new and modern with its walk-in shower, brings a very appreciable comfort.
The evening at the restaurant will remain a wonderful memory: a delicately elaborate 7-course menu, a sublime setting and attentive service.
An address I highly recommend and will be happy to come back this summer, to fully enjoy the outdoor setting and the majestic pool.

Unforgettable experience

I had a fantastic stay. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and one felt welcome immediately. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and everywhere was decorated so nicely for Christmas, which gave the place a very special and cozy atmosphere. The food was exquisite, the wines perfectly tuned, and each serving felt like a little experience in itself. The staff was welcoming, attentive and incredibly professional. All in all, it’s a classy stay – and it really proves that the place can do something special in the winter.

My partner wanted to surprise me on Valentine's Day.
We were dissatisfied from A to Z.
Deplorable welcome with barely a hello. We are handed the key to the room and after demo....... You.
Small room with views of an inner courtyard. No desk, no suitcase rest so to put on the carpet not clean. Bathroom with bathtub with splinters, no bathrobes motorway hotel service without the price.
Dinner that probably wants to be a star, we're a long way from it. Table glued without privacy, non-competent staff and not French.
For breakfast, very average not much choice for a buffet.
In short, we must quickly forget this weekend and pass our way.
There are really better things elsewhere and for less.
A box to frisc!!!!!

Great experience!

Château de Fontager is a beautiful and peaceful getaway with a truly unique atmosphere. The property feels historic and charming, with spacious grounds and elegant common areas that invite you to slow down and relax. The rooms are comfortable and well-kept, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant is a highlight – great food in lovely surroundings.
If you’re looking for a quiet stay in a picturesque setting with lots of character, Château de Fontager is a wonderful choice.
