As soon as the gate was opened we knew we had arrived at a special Chambre d'hote. The property was well maintained, welcoming hosts and very comfortable and ekegant rooms. We had a delightful evening meal with the hosts and another couple. We are on a cycle holiday and were thrilled to have our laundry done for us overnight. In the morning our bikes had even been turned to the direction we were going to travel.

Well presented hotel.

The host was very friendly and spoke good english. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was a queen and the grounds were well presented. The host cooked dinner and provided wine for a price which was just okay. Met some great French people over dinner. A nice small town. Worth staying here.

Delightfully unique!

Spent an excellent overnight stop at this exceptional B and B in a small village near Chablis and Tonnerre.
Individually appointed comfortable and tasteful rooms arranged around a small courtyard with delightful hosts who treated us to both a complimentary bottle of wine and a brilliantly conceived fresh breakfast full of local produce. A real taste of 'La France Profunde' and highly recommended.

A delightful French experience

We stayed here for one night on the way to Paris and were able to locate it easily in this tiny village. As a group of four we had 2 of the four cottages which were both double storey and had plenty of space. The highlight of the stay was the meal we shared with the 2 other couples staying and the owners and their daughter. A home cooked French meal with several courses and drinks and the chance to communicate with local people was a treat. To mix with local people and experience a moment of their life is what travel is all about!

A real gem of a place to stay

We stayed here as a stopover on the way back to England from the South of France - it's about 4 hours to Calais. To be honest i booked with some reservations, due to the lack of reviews in English and my French is pretty average. Anyway we are all very glad that we chose this place to stay, as it was excellent.
The accommodation (1 of 4 "cottages") was really very nice, slightly quirky decor, but of a very high standard. The owners were friendly and helpful (should have checked their names) - the lady owner speaks very good English (although claims it is from school). She even booked us a restaurant for the evening in nearby Chablis. Breakfast was buffet style but really very nice, the owners ate with us (because we needed to leave early) which might not sound great but they were really good company. There were other really nice touches such as selling local wine by the box and glass (bottles in the fridge).
I don't give a 5/5 easily but while not perfect this was a really lovely place to stay which I have already recommended to friends.
