Must visit if you are craving for some nature and peace!
Really calm place that allows you to relax and rest from the busy city life which, as we all know, can be very exhausting in India Rooms are spacious and comfy, garden is really nice and well maintained, also the rooftop is a big plus - you can see the surrounding fields from there. I would advise you to take a walk through the village and fields.
Dhiraj is a very nice, helpful and kind guy, always making sure you feel comfortable and you've got everything you need.
There are no restaurants or cafes nearby, but the food served in the homestay is really amazing as it's a homemade one!
I would recommend you to stay for longer than one day to really appreciate the place Just make sure you are aware of the fact that it's out of the city, so you are not surprised

Let down on Trust Disappointing
Reading review had expected a lot from this homestay. But was really unhappy with kind of service provided except for food (which I really thank the ladies in family to make it special)
The place is outside city, in village outside of the homestay the village atmosphere is really raw and not clean which is fine for experiencing but if don’t have your own car you need to depend on transport to be arranged by host then please be ready to pay the amount demanded by the driver without any logic. For less than 4 km we were been charged Rs 600 which is higher than a cab charge but in a rickshaw upon asking the explanation was because there is no other service provider.
Most disappointing part of the trip was the host Mr Dhiraj suggested and insisted that since we have more days in Agra to go and visit Mathura once and that he can arrange the transport. And advise the driver would charge Rs 2400 for return trip with 10hours.
We thought it was good idea and we trusted that our host will do all coordination and make the trip pleasant. So we got ready and as per his suggested time @ 8.30-9am so we planned started our journey, our host had some personal work around Mathura so he also came with us which is fine. Our host got off at one point and left us with driver to continue our journey.
BUT when we reached the Mathura at around 12.30 we got to know all places are closed by then and will only reopen at 4pm. In our conversation with cab driver he mentioned that this is common in Mathura and been going on for years that the temples/ places of interest are closed during afternoon for few hours. So, we couldn’t see anything there, So we asked driver if he could return back to Agra so we can do more productive use of time but he didn’t hear to us and called the host and then was simply kept us driving around market of Mathura without any reason upon insisting again he turned the car, we had told we need to pick up special delicacy sweet from Mathura again driver ignored and kept going and took the flyover. Then we headed back to pick up Dhiraj and returned.
When we asked our host why he didn’t mention about the opening hour he simply said he wasn’t aware of same (Even though he is in hospitality business and place of interest at Mathura hours as same for years). FRUSTRATING He made just to pay full cab charge not even a little apology or anything. Plus when I asked him the share for his ride he simply ignored. We wasted our TIME, MONEY and ENERGY. One of the worst experience we ever had in any homestay across any place I have lived so far.

I can not recommend enough!!
Me and my partner visited this place after seeing such brilliant reviews and it truly is an amazing place. It’s set in a village just outside of the city amongst fields and farms and it is wonderfully peaceful and the perfect place to get away from all of the honking and city noises. That being said- it is only a 35 minute walk to the Taj Mahal and it’s a great walk through the village full of friendly locals. Here you can also find street food along the way and many restaurants.
The rooms and bedsheets are extremely clean and the bed consists of a foam mattress which you don’t come across very often in India. This and the quietness at night makes for a great nights sleep. The bathroom is shared but was also very clean in comparison to most shared bathrooms you come across. There is no hot water in the bathroom- however Dhiraj will let you use his shower with hot water available using a bucket which was great.
The family who own this place are really fantastic and make your stay here. We even played cricket and games with his niece and nephew and learned about the farm from his dad- which was great, we felt like part of the family. Dhiraj will do anything he can to make your stay enjoyable and he is willing to help with anything. We felt very welcome by all of his family. When we arrived he made us a camp fire and he went into the village to fetch us alcohol and we ate a delicious home cooked meal around the fire. It was the perfect evening. He will also help you with places of interest and with transport, but he does this in a helpful and non pushy way- which is very refreshing from what we’ve been used to. Check out should have also been at 12, but as our room was unoccupied he allowed us to keep our bags here and keep the room until we left- which was a great touch.
I would recommend to anyone- I have been travelling around India for just over a month and this has been one of my favourite places- I could have stayed for weeks.

Terrible and not what you expect
Photos are misleading. Family is nice and it’s a raw experience staying in he village but not worth spending money here if you book a dorm room. Disgusting dirty and the bed doesn’t have a mattress.
The owner will also charge you 3x the price for a train ticket and food is stupidly overpriced. Rather spend your money somewhere else.

Perfect place to stay in Agra!!!
I have unlimited reasons to recommend this place, but I will just name a few to start. I am a solo female traveler and during my time at the Village Homestay, Dhiraj and his family went out of their way every day to make sure I was comfortable, feeling relaxed, fed abundantly, and having the happiest stay I could possibly have. If you have the pleasure to come to Agra, I hope you are lucky enough to stay here. I have every intention of coming again and staying here again. Thank you to Dhiraj and his family for such an incredible stay! :-)
