Pleasant surprise
This hotel was a very pleasant suprise. It does not look very nice from outside, but the rooms very spacious and very well equipped. it is also well located. It is in a quiet street, but very close to restaurants and quite a short walk from the main temple. Staff was very very friendly, we felt welcomed. the only upside was the unavailability of heaters for the first night due to low electricity, but since many blankets were provided, it was ok. We are happy that we stayed at this place.

Hotel Laxmi Divine Badrinath, the best budget hotel in Badrinath
Recently we stayed in Hotel Laxmi Divine Badrinath with our family while on Char Dham trip. The hotel is extremely conveniently located near ISBT Badrinath at the entrance of the shrine. The hotel has adequate parking facility which is, surprisingly, free of charge. The accommodation is top notch with regard to cleanliness and hygiene. While their restaurant is temporarily out of service, but we got many good restaurants within a stone's throw from the hotel. The hotel staff is extremely polite and always ready to help you.
The Badrinath temple is within 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
We would definitely recommend to everyone visiting the shrine, for a pleasant and memorable budget stay in Badrinath.

Worst experience by Hotel Laxmi Divine and MakemyTrip
Our recent trip to Badrinath turned into a nightmare, thanks to Hotel Laxmi Divine Badrinath and MakeMyTrip’s shockingly irresponsible service.
We had booked Hotel Laxmi Divine through MakeMyTrip, and upon reaching Badrinath late at night between 11–11:30 PM, we found that the GPS location provided by both MakeMyTrip and Google Maps was completely inaccurate—it led us to an isolated off-road area with no sign of the hotel. Despite searching extensively by car, the hotel was nowhere to be found.
In desperate need of assistance, we called the hotel directly, but the contact number provided by MakeMyTrip was unreachable. We then contacted MakeMyTrip customer support, hoping they would step in to resolve the issue. However, their associate informed us that even they couldn’t get through to the hotel. This speaks volumes about the hotel’s reliability and MakeMyTrip’s poor verification of its listed properties.
We were traveling with a senior citizen and a toddler in freezing cold weather at night—waiting around for hours was absolutely not an option. Given the circumstances, we had no choice but to book another hotel nearby on the spot—a walk-in booking just to ensure safety and shelter for our family. We immediately emailed MakeMyTrip with all the details.
And now comes the most shocking part: MakeMyTrip outright refused to issue a refund, saying we should have waited longer—even though they themselves admitted the hotel was unresponsive. Their suggestion that we should have waited for 24 hours for the issue to be resolved is not only absurd but dangerously irresponsible, especially when vulnerable people are involved.
Our Key Issues:
• Hotel Laxmi Divine’s location is incorrect and contact number is non-functional.
• MakeMyTrip’s platform failed to verify this listing properly.
• No emergency customer support in a high-altitude, cold-weather location.
• Zero accountability from either the hotel or MakeMyTrip.
• No refund despite the fact that the failure was on their end.
This was not just an inconvenience—it was a breach of basic safety and decency.
Final Verdict:
Hotel Laxmi Divine is unreliable, possibly non-existent or at least mismanaged.
MakeMyTrip is clearly more interested in collecting payments than supporting customers when things go wrong.
I will never book via MakeMyTrip again, and I strongly urge others to reconsider using this platform—especially when traveling to remote or sensitive areas. When you need support the most, they vanish.

We are equally shocked to know that despite being so conveniently located near ISBT and Indian Oil Petrol Pump, Badrinath, despite the property having been visited by hundreds of guests in the last couple of years, despite the whole town being so small, the respected guests could not reach us which is pretty intriguing.
The respected guests appear to be fairly highly educated and we find it very difficult to believe that they could not locate the property which is prominently marked in Google maps and is adjacent to the one and only petrol pump in the very small town.
While giving the respected guests the benefit of the doubt, it must be mentioned that occasionally it so happens that as soon as one reaches around the property, a lot of hotels offer the guests accommodation at a much cheaper price and the guests are unable to resist the temptation and end up making lame excuses.
It is well beyond our capabilities to ascertain whether any such event led to the change in mind of the respected guests. But, we can also not rule out the possibility.
As per our cancellation policy, inability of the guests to locate the property is not amongst the reasons for refund of any amount.
Although our call log on that particular day does not show any call having been made by you on mobile number 7065169467, but it'd be interesting if you could kindly share the screenshot evidencing such calls having been made by you on the said number.
