Excellent service and hospitality. Great food too

My parents recently stayed in woodlands Bengaluru. They were extremely impressed with the service and hospitality. I would highly recommend Woodlands

Okey but not more

Good. Near Cubbon Park. The atmosphere boring. The double room was big and with a balcony. Okey room for the money. Cleanliness was bad. The whole floor was dirty. The cleaner had take a poop on the toilet and not cleaned it after. When showered the whole floor in the bathroom was wet and the toilet paper was very little off and the shampo for the hair was a joke, it was for person with no hair. The breakfast was boring.

The Hotel did not provide breakfast for us. We had to pay for breakfast and eat.
Shops were close.
We were supposed to leave on 24th, but left on 22nd.
Are we going to get refund for 2 days?

The room smells very bad and the pillows where stained and they are using old mattress and old pillows. The toilet was absolutely bad very dirty. The staffs(restaurant) are not even smile even if we say good morning they are not saying anything. The breakfast buffe are all same for all days.

Once iconic - now in a shambles

I booked 5 rooms as part of a stay for my extended family to attend a marriage in Bangalore. I knew the location was fantastic as i had stayed there 25 years ago. We checked in around 3pm, and were shown to our rooms on the 7th floor. To our shock, one of the rooms (715) stank of urine - probably some issue with the piping. None of the phones in our rooms were working. A set-top box in one of the rooms was working, and 2 of the key cards were not working. The last was the most concerning, so we went multiple times over the next few hours to reception to get it fixed, but realized that it was not the card, but the device on the room door that was not recognizing any card. What this meant was that we had to ask someone from the reception to come upstairs to let us in every time we left the room. And since the phones weren't working, this meant physically trudging to the reception. When we asked for a change in rooms, we were told that the hotel was completely booked, but they would fix the key issue.
That night, when we looked for an update from the reception, the person at the reception (Joseph) said that he did not know about any issue since nobody had told him anything, but he said he would look into it .
That night, there was suddenly a loud knocking on the room of one of my aunts. It was a drunk guest as security sheepishly let us know. I confronted the guest and sent him on his way with security being no help.
The next morning, imagine our surprise when a new person at the reception (not Joseph) now told us again that he had no idea about the issues we were facing, but he would look into it.
We spent the entire rest of the day outside at the marriage and sightseeing, and prepared to leave the next morning, now confident that nothing was going to be fixed.
At 7am the next morning, as we were checking out, we could not find one of the cards (out of 5) - one of the same that was not working , and the front desk (Joseph) insisted on it. I reminded him that this card did not work and we had to put up with non functioning rooms for 2 nights (including one that stank of urine).
I paid 500/- for the non functioning card and told him that I intended to report all this on a review. He told us that we could not scare him. I asked him for the names of the others who manned the reception, which he avoided giving to us. So since I only know Joseph - Joseph, you ruined our time there.
TL;DR: This was once an iconic hotel. Your rooms will be spacious but will lack maintenance, and the current people who man it don't care (except for the wonderful staff at the restaurant that is open for dinner).
