Excellent location and Helpful staff
Excellent Location and Helpful Staff – Great Stay in Gangtok
I stayed at Dechen Palmo , Gangtok for 3 nights with a group of five people. We had booked two rooms, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
The biggest highlight of this hotel is its fantastic location. It is situated right on MG Road, the heart of Gangtok, with a mall directly in front of the property. This makes it extremely convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the city on foot.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. While the bathrooms could be improved and are not the strongest aspect of the property, they were functional and acceptable for the price range.
The food was good, although the breakfast spread had somewhat limited options. However, considering the room tariff of around ₹3,000–₹3,500, the breakfast offerings were sufficient and satisfactory.
What truly stood out during our stay was the hotel staff. They were extremely cooperative, courteous, and always willing to help especially Ankit and his team. Whether it was providing information, assisting with requests, or ensuring a comfortable stay, the staff consistently went the extra mile.

Don't even dare to visit this hotel or gangtok.Me with my family was staying there for 1 day 02/06/25-03/06/25.Around 10pm ac went turn off in all our rooms it's became suffocating the weather was also on warmer side and most windows were blocked so we requested them to fix the ac then they provided stand Fan as a alternative but we are paying huge amount to the hotel nobody wants a noisy standing fan we didn't booked a non ac cheap hotel, then around 11pm an ac mechanic came he was already angry because he came leaving a birthday party also he was drunk he said now I'll stay here for the whole night keep open the door I don't care about your privacy now wait and watch, moreover an ac mechanic saying to the respected guest to sleep in the street he stared shouting and misbehaving hotel authorities didn't do anything or we got scared and told the manager we don't want anything as we have early morning traveling but he started arguing and started pushing us, He threatened that he is leaving there for 14 years and he will burry us he suddenly got aggressive with his screwdriver doing stabbing movement literally he wanted to kill us It was a Attempt to Murder,we locked ourself in 1 room he was constantly banging the door amd was trying to break in. We were in 4th floor from the window of we were begging for help shouting crying panicking from everyone who was passing by told them to call the police help us.then some group came on the door started banging said there is no police we are the police we asked for the id card they were laughing maybe it was his group they were continuesly trying to break in we were literally begging for our lives then we saw a police van with 2 officer then we open the door we told them everything show them the video they hold him gave him warning they took him in his place not in the police station because we got so scared we didn't Filed any case against him we just wanted to reach home safely.whole night we were awake couldn't sleep by thought of him coming back for some sort or revenge as he was so aggressive and harmful..Early morning we left our room we were seconds away from death hotel authorities didn't even apologize to us even there was no security and safety.He is dangerous and harmful to the society we could have been killed it was a attempt to Murder

Mann dechan palmo hotel is Really nice......... staff are very nice and very helpful........ I am very happy with the staff behaviour.......... food is very tasty. I stay in mann dechan 5 night. ... room is very clean.......... ...... ....

A hotel that made my Gangtok stay truly memorable!
I was in Gangtok for a couple of days and I chose to stay here, and I must say that decision turned out to be perfect! This is a hotel that seems to have got everything right. It's conveniently located at the centre of the city. Come out of the hotel, climb up 60-odd stairs, and you're on MG Marg (the vehicle-free bustling walkway that's a favourite with tourists)! Unlike may hotels in Gangtok that are accessible only when you climb up or down a flight of stairs, the access to Mann Dechen and Palmo is right on the street (opp Sikkim Police HQ). The staff is very helpful. I interacted with Sahil & Babita at the Front Desk, and Rishav & Sunita at the restaurant. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The rooms are clean, well-maintained and the view is refreshing. The nifty rooftop restaurant offers great food, a sweeping view and lovely ambience. The only service they don't have in-house is laundry, but they don't let that become an inconvenience for guests. Just make a request and the staff would happily get your clothes laundered at an external facility! My sincere compliments to this hotel for maintaining such high standards and for making my stay in this lovely city truly memorable!

Overall Excellent.
Wonderful Experience. Hotel staff all are well behaved . Room's are clean. Food quality is excellent. GM Madam also excellent. I recommend my friend's and relative to visit this hotel for sikkim tour. I also recommended to stay my team members to stay in this hotel.
