Experience was really nice..

The hotel is situated at main location of gwalior. Charges are very feasible, well cleaned and good hotel. Most importantly, it is very near to the tomb of Gaus and Gwalior Fort. Service was also very good.

INDIANS ONLY, AND CONFIRMED RESERVATION MEANS NOTHING- I WAS STILL REFUSED ROOM AFTER ABOUT 2 HOURS

Checked guesthouse accepted foreign reservations athough listed and booked on booking.com. As many hotels in Gwalior are for Indians only. They said everything was fine. When I arrived with a nonrefundable confirmed reservation, after coming from New Delhi, I caught them by surprise as they didnt seem to be expecting any guests that day! it was dead. there was litter and mess in the corridor and reception, and then I was told to wait while the owner was called on the telephone. He said OK to checkin and a copy of my passport was taken. Then he rang back and told me I had to complete a covid form. The guy at reception was going by motorbike to get the form and come back in about an hour, as they didnt have any forms at the guesthouse! when he finally returned I started to complete the form, then the owner rung again and said he had now been told foreigners cant checkin! I had a valid visa and had a confirmed non refundable reservation. They had a copy of my visa and passport and a form, but that was not good enough. Meanwhile they let me use the toilet in the bedroom while I was waiting. Then I was told I couldnt checkin and had to leave. It was late afternoon and had no reservation and I knew normally most hotels in Gwalior only accept Indians. Thats why I prebooked. Now had nowhere to stay, and reception just shrugged their shoulders.
Wasted about 2 hours in all, I handed the key back, and they asked for the form and wanted me to pay for the soap as it had been opened! I said its not my fault you wont let me stay. I just walked out and they werent very happy! AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT INDIAN AS THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CHECK FOREIGNERS IN.
I checked into the Hotel Landmark with no problems and checkin was processed within 5 minutes... so telling me foreigners couldnt stay in Gwalior was absolute rubbish.
Gwalior is a stunning place if you like an authentic bustling town with the stunning Gwalior fort and buildings. Probably some of the most beautiful and different fortifications etc I have ever seen, so definitely visit Gwalior, just avoid Sanskar guesthouse unless you are Indian.

Good place to stay in Gwalior

Good hotel in Gwalior, our rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Beware of the auto rickshaw drivers at the railway station, on arrival at Sanskar Guest House our driver pulled up outside and we heard him say to a young boy at the doorway 'tell them you are double booked' Luckily I had our booking form and a payment receipt to hand.

Very nice arrangements

They have a separate hall for meetings and conferences with adequate facilities which is good for official purpose. It is at a convenient location. Also the rooms are very clean with great service.Had a nice stay.

Good stay with excellent facilities and ambience. Price worth it and also easy connectivity for places around. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Good rooms which gives a totally relaxed feeling. Suggest you all to try it.
