An Uneven Experience

Ideally located, bang opposite Sanjay Market and within walking distance of Bastar Palace. We got a fairly decent room on the 2nd floor (Not all rooms are of the same quality, so better to check out). Some of the staff are very rude, others are quite helpful. The restaurant serves good food. Breakfast is complementary. Hotel appears to be quite popular, especially with business people.

Nice location.Room was big and spacious .Ample water, central geyser for hot water so no complaints on that front.

Refurbished rooms and toilet.But seems like it needs a bit of personal touch in it’s upkeep.People running the place seemed like running it for the sake of it.Being located in a prime location it would have been prudent for the management to hire people with minimum knowledge of attending the guests and not some local boys who need to be given a lecture about hospitality from time to time…

Spacious but old fashioned

We checked in at Hotel Rainbow. The room are very spacious and old styled. The rooms were stinking and so were the towels. However, the mattress were good. During check-in, they told at the reception that the Dussera events are underway and the whole town is festival and suggested us to get the next road.
We had dinner in the restaurant of Hotel Rainbow. The food is quite good.

Rainbow???

A rainbow is such a beautiful phenomenon of the nature...but why did they call themselves "Rainbow Hotel"? It's nothing but a you in there! The place needs lots of TLC and it's pretty depressive. The room is nothing special but the bed is good. The mattress is hard...not as hard as a brick like mattresses I slept on during my trip but still quite hard. I don't know what leaked on the walls but there was mildew everywhere.
The room is superficially clean.
The staff is and looks miserable. Did someone die when I checked in?
Wi-Fi is only available in the hall in company of tons of mosquitoes.
Regarding the restaurant, the waiter needs to put on a smile and learn the basics of waiting tables. His English was non existent. I came in and said I wanted a table for one and he brought me a coke...oh well... ! His place is in a "dhaba" but not in a hotel! The food is ok but nothing special. I had the so called American chop suey that was way too spicy hot. And then you have that TV on and it's a debate that no one is watching because the restaurant has only 5 customers including me, and it's super loud.
Only a few guys serving breakfast were smiley but again, you get coffee when your order tea ;)
There is still a lot to achieve to reach better hospitality.

Rainbow Hotel

Hotel Rainbow is located near the station. Service & management is very very worst. They dont provide anything in time. We office team had a very bad experience in this hotel. There is no lift in this hotel
