Reasonable Option for Budget Stay at Deralakatte

The place Deralakatte lacked decent accomodation facility for travellers, Hotel Plaza Avenue is one added accommodation options at Deralakatte. It is situated in between K S Hegde Medical College & Hospital and Yenepoya Medical College & Hospital and off the road. Regular transports like auto, bus, radio cabs etc. are easily available. As the name suggests, it is used as Lodge as well as PG. We recently stayed here for 3 nights, the booking was done directly with the Hotel through telecon, booking can also be done through travel booking site. The hotel appears to be newly built and the corridors etc. were clean and well maintained. We were allotted a front side road facing first floor room. The hotel doesn't have any lift, luggage was transferred to room by the hotel staff. The hotel has an attached restaurant with limited options, especially veg items. However during our stay, no breakfast could be provided by the hotel and hence ordered through Zomato. Couple of nearby restaurants are there, in addition food delivery at room can be booked through Zomato & Swiggy, the curtelery may be asked from the hotel. The hotel doesn't provide in-room drinking water, one has to bought the same from attached restaurant. We generally ordered morning & evening tea from the attached restaurant. On first day, we were provided with 2 hand towel, no bath towel could be provided on the ground that the entire hotel is booked and towels have been sent to laundry. On 2nd day, bath towel was provided only after we asked for it. Daily room cleaning was an issue and not done unless it is asked for. On day 2 room cleaning was done after repetitive requests, on day 3, no room cleaning was done as we went outside during the day time and didn't ask for it. The hotel has ample place for car parking, also accept card payment. The staffs were courteous and responsive. Overall a reasonable option for budget stay at Deralakatte with few adjustments and repetitive follow-ups.
