Lovely place after the Markha Valley Trek

We arrived at Neryok's Indus View after a tiring Markha Valley trek. We were looking for a soothing place and we found it: clean cottages, a nice hot shower, tasty continental food and a very helpful hostess who speaks English fluently. The nearby town of Karu has ATMs to get rupees in case you need them. The hostess arranges trips to Hemis Monastery and a car to Leh where you can see all the best Monasteries on the way. I suggest not rushing to go to Leh after the Markha trek and spending one night here: have a rest and visit Hemis Monastery in the afternoon and the next day visit all the monasteries on your way to Leh.

Its location is very nice, friendly staff but overall average place

The cottages are nicely located, staffs are very helpful, we had three rooms and one had problems with toilet and flush etc. At night it gets cold and rooms do not have heaters though blankets were nice. We had one night stay here on the way, so it was ok.

Good location for the Hemis festival

I chose to stay here as it was the closest accomodation I could find online to the Hemis monastry and was coming for the Hemis festival. The accommodation is a few kilometres away from the monastry and transport was easily arranged by Stanzin, the owner of the property.
The chalet is basic, but having come from Nubra valley it felt like a treat to have 24/7 hot water and electricity and it is lovely being able to sit out and see the water. The food is also absolutely delicious and there is a choice of both Indian and Ladakhi options.

BEST accommodation in Hemis!!

Fantastic location, right next to the Indus river. Neat and clean cottages with good, clean and comfortable beddings. View of the river and mountains from the back of each cottage is mind blowing. The property itself is spread in huge space. Bathrooms have 24/7 running hot water. Rate is reasonable. Food is super tasty with good spread. Their cook must be having a magic wand in his hand. Each and every item would make you lick fingers. He will make whatever you ask him to. The owner Stanzin and his mother are fantastic hosts. Very good hearted people with ever smiling face and always prompt at service. Very simple and innocent. You can talk hours and hours with Stanzin- a very friendly and very well behaved polite chap. Property is super safe. We never locked our rooms whenever went out for sightseeing. One should spend at least a night here. Definitely coming back to this place if in Hemis. Highly recommended.
