A true hidden gem in the Western Ghats
Our stay at SpiceTree Chinnar was absolutely wonderful — a true hidden gem. This eco-lodge offers beautiful rooms, each with its own private pool and multiple terraces. Combined with the stunning natural surroundings and the breathtaking view from your bed, it’s a place where you can genuinely relax and fully recharge. The location is simply spectacular: completely off the grid, close to the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, with sweeping views over the hills of the Western Ghats. Waking up to birdsong and being so close to the incredible wildlife South India has to offer makes this the perfect escape for anyone seeking peace and nature away from the city. A real highlight is asking the hotel manager for a guided walk around the resort’s farm. With great passion, he explains how their own fruits and vegetables are grown on-site, fully in harmony with nature and with deep respect for the local wildlife — the true original inhabitants of this place. It adds a meaningful layer to an already exceptional stay.

A must have stay
Our stay at SpiceTree Munnar was truly spectacular — we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The property is beautifully nestled amidst the forest, making it the perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, nature-filled setting. The atmosphere was calm, refreshing, and incredibly relaxing.
What made the experience even more special was the exceptional hospitality. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and the team at SpiceTree went above and beyond to make our trip even more memorable.
Everything from the rooms to the food was simply excellent. We would definitely love to come back again and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Munnar.

Awesome farm stay
Had a brilliant couple of days at Spice tree Chinnar; what is essentially a luxury farm stay.
Tucked away besides the majestic Western Ghats, this place has breathtaking views of the ghats.
The place is well appointed with luxury pool villas aesthetically decorated in what I am told to be chettinadu style using materials sourced from the the land on which it is built.
The staff are extremely friendly and offer a bespoke service with freshly prepared delicious food.
Their fruit and vegetables plantation is extensive and well worth a walk along. The nearby Chinnar wild life sanctuary offers awesome trekking options, if that is your thing.
I would highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the hustles and bustles to a digital detox stay among the nature.

Perfect getaway
A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life . Fresh air , clear stars at night, walking in morning on farm tour and the trekking in Chinnar tiger reserve. The moment u see the stream in the reserve , it feels so magical . Polite staff with an infectious staff . And the food is sooo tasty . Perfect . Special Shout out to Midhun.

Calm and peaceful farm stay
Spice Tree Chinnar is a cozy place where you can relax and reconnect with nature. This is a farm stay surrounded by beautiful greenary and the vibe here will make you want to sit quietly, move slowly and just be yourself with nature. Spacious pool villas blend beautifully with the landscape and you to wake up to stunning mountain views each morning. The warmth and smiles of their staff make you feel right at home.
