Wrost stay ☹️
I stayed in Nainital for one day and had a really disappointing experience overall.
The room provided didn’t even have a tea kettle, the TV was not working, and when I ordered coffee, it was of very poor quality. I booked the room directly at the same rate shown on MMT, thinking it would be better for the hotel rather than paying commission, but it turned out to be a mistake.
The food taste was okay, but the portions were quite small. The overall staff behavior made it worse — it felt like I had ended up at the wrong place. During checkout, they added extra charges of ₹20–30 on almost every item compared to the menu prices, and instead of the mentioned 5% tax, they applied some unclear additional charges.
The person at the reception had very limited knowledge of the hotel industry and lacked basic guest handling skills, which was quite surprising for me as I am a hotelier myself.
However, I must mention that when I got a cut on my foot, the reception person did help me by bringing a bandage, which I genuinely appreciate.
Overall, this felt more like a roadside dhaba than a proper hotel. I am giving 3 stars only because of that one helpful gesture.

Bad experience
Bad experience - A very disappointing stay for a night..poor quality of room interiors, and pathetic service of room service staff.. absolutely unprofessional attitude.. don’t visit here with family at least! Even I was checked out early due to family not safe. Goibibo and hotel not refunded my money. Money not an issue but posted here due to at least my freinds will not trouble when they are visited in Nanital. As per my experience book hotel via booking.com only they supported a Lot✌️

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
When one goes on a holiday to relax and spend a decent amount on hotel and stay then one expects a reasonable service. If you wish to go to Nainital for a rejuvenating holiday and stay at Hotel Cloud 7 then please don't. It's a sheer wastage of your money, time and energy. This hotel will spoil the mood of your entire journey. We stayed here on the 3rd floor in a super deluxe room.
The room and the bathroom was dirty, shower didn't work and they didn't clean our room even if we left the keys at the reception to do so. Blankets remained unchanged, used tea cups were not changed, new towels and soaps were not provided and when we ordered 2 parathas for dinner we got stapler pins in it. To put the cherry on the cake, the room door's lock was not working properly and we stood outside for a full hour after a long tiring day so that the staff could open our door. I am posting pictures here to authenticate my statements. They have a big board at their entrance saying that they have got free WiFi but that also doesn't work at all. The staff is uncooperative, doesn't pick our calls and top of that they claim there is nothing wrong in their service.
At the end of the day what can you do as you have already paid the money in advance? If there is an option to do so I'll give negative stars to this very special hotel.

Average budget hotel
For the high tariff, this is a budget hotel, with dirty rooms and dirtier linen, leakage in bathrooms, and very average breakfast. The staff, although helpful, is clueless about most of the things. The 'inclusions' such as kettle and toiletries were given after calling for them repeatedly. No intercom, so one has to go downstairs since there was hardly mobile network.
Location is bang opposite Allahabad Bank about 10 minutes' walk from the Mall Road. It is a very noisy area and one can hear traffic sounds all through the day and evening. The TV in the reception is always switched on on high volume, making it uncomfortable if you are on the ground or first floors. Common balconies, so if someone is smoking you can smell it sitting in your rooms.
If travelling with elderly people or those who cannot walk much, please avoid. It is situated at a steep incline and gets difficult to climb up.
Overall, there are better hotels/homestays available if you book a little ahead of your day of arrival.
