Outstanding

I loved everything about this hotel! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. I was extremely happy with the results. The turnaround time was incredible. The prices were great, and the discounts made it even better. The experience was outstanding.

Not worth the price

The hotel’s only positive point is that it is located very close to the city’s main marketing hub Police Bazaar. Other than that there are many things which were found wanting. Firstly they do not have sufficient staff to attend to guests, then there is no kitchen in the hotel, no breakfast available early in the morning, no kettle or tea bags kept in room, no power back up, no house phone (we were told the EPBX has been sent for repair), rooms are small and barely enough space for 2 people. Definitely not worth the price that we paid (25k for 4 nights).

The Tiniest Hotel

The Cave Hotel I can say. The tiniest room with no balcony and the tiniest washroom. No space to spread your wet clothes. The rooms are scattered as staying in different spaces in a cave. No specific space for spending leisure time. Avoid it.

Stayed for 4 nights in Single room

Stayed for 4 nights in a single room in end-April, 2018.
Both the receptionists and stuff were friendly and well behaved. Took suggestion about local cuisine on arrival.
The room was quite small, but was enough for a single traveler.
Amenities:
1. TV with cable connection.
2. Water filled steel jug, one glass and a ash-tray.
3. One hanging cabinet.
4. One mini soap, one mini-pack shampoo.
5. Geyser - ask the room-service how to operate.
Room rent was very reasonable compared to cleanliness and behavior. I started from Center Point down towards G.S. Road and this hotel seemed perfect for both single or group travelers and families.
1 minute walking distance to Center Point, check Google maps.
Most of all, it was my first hotel on my first solo tour and end of the day I was satisfied.
Points to be noted:
1. No Air Conditioning. Actually not needed one because of the weather of Shillong.
2. No WiFi. I took a sim from local market with 1 GB of data connectivity.

best price wise

we stayed at serene for overnight stay .. it was a good one.. room service was perhaps the fastest i have ever serene. rooms were clean and equipped with all necessities viz.. TV (DTH).. geyser.. foot lamp etc. staff was very helpful .
Little far from main police bazar .. but still walkable distance. no parking like other hotels in this area.
