Average Hotel

Staying experience was not so great. Booked Superior Room online through Ibibo and checkin was smooth. Room are spacious and comfortable. There were alot of mosquitos in the room and surprisingly there was no refrigerator in our room. Room service was very slow.

A sad first impression of India.

Pre tour visit to this hotel was terrible despite the reviews on their website. The photos and reviews are not reflective of this hotel. We were moved to a different hotel on first night of booked tour when water started leaking from electrical power sites effecting electricity causing outages. Hotel deemed unsafe and we we moved by tour company to a new hotel at 0100 hrs before start of tour in am.

Excellent experience

Stunned to see the renovated rooms and the services went a notch higher than earlier . Had stayed here earlier but this type of services were missing. Truly run by professionals. Rooms neat and clean properly maintained with good quality food.

Front desk can’t be bothered to provide guest service or even be polite. “Go wait outside for valet!”

Arrived after 11 from a nice dinner out. Curbside parking was full and no one was outside so I popped inside to check if the valet service was still available. I had done the same thing last week and the lovely front desk staff took my keys and said they would take care of it. I guess that was the exception and not normal Goodwin curtesy. Unfortunately this time I was met with strong indignation. “Of course the valet is still working —they are outside’. When I pointed out there was no one there, the response was “go outside and wait—you have to stay outside and wait if you want valet service.” Indeed, how dare I think the front desk clerk might be responsible for enabling guest entry to the premises. Why indeed should she care about customer service or guest perspective. Clearly that is outside her job scope. She is obviously a front desk clerk and only a front desk clerk.
Unfortunately for the valet this cost him a tip and might cost the hotel any future stays. Why pay to stay where the staff can’t be bothered to hide their hatred for their job and their clientele?
