Peaceful nights on the lake with breathtaking view

My young daughter and I were mesmerised upon arrival through the lake, on a small colorful boat: how romantic, we felt like princesses!
The rooms are made of sculpted cedar wood and smells of cedar. You wake up on the lake. The sunset in summer is very long and one can appreciate the birds and people on boats selling local artisanal artefacts, mountains reflecting in the peaceful water.
The staff is masculine and we felt very safe as 2 women travelling alone. The food is really homely and delicious, especially diner!
We dream to come back to feed the ducks and our souls with so much beauty and kindness!

A must do

I have loved the place. Well kept, clean and A spotless. Great view. Hilaal and Bilaal have taken great care of me. Made me feel comfortable and have been feeding me like two mother hens. . An asset to Mascot. The chef turned out some delectable dishes. Loved the trout and the Haakk. And last but not the least Imtiyaz thank you. You are a great host. I doff my hat

A wonderful stay on Nigeen Lake

I had a wonderful stay at Mascot Houseboats. The location on peaceful Nigeen Lake was beautiful, and staying on a traditional Kashmiri houseboat made the experience feel truly special. The hospitality was warm and personal, and the combination of the lake, mountains and beautiful craftsmanship made it a memorable part of our trip. I would happily recommend Mascot Houseboats to anyone visiting Srinagar.

A beautiful vacation to remember

We were a group of friends and stayed on the houseboat for two days and what can I say, it was an absolutely breathtaking and wonderful experience. We were welcomed like old friends and felt at home from the very beginning. I have never seen such beautiful woodwork, and wherever you look, there were more carving details to discover. The team was outstanding and extremely accommodating and the local food was delicious. I also want to add that I have never been to this area before, but through my stay, I felt I was able to get a glimpse into the local culture. I am truly thankful for the shared moments and this unforgettable experience and would love to come back one day!

Stay in august in srinagar

A magnificent houseboat, entirely carved from walnut. Quiet location on the edge of a landscaped park. Neighbors include eagles and water lilies! Excellent service on board.
