an unforgettable stay
We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Taj Lake Palace, a hotel we had always wanted to experience. We had also heard that Udaipur was one of the most picturesque areas of Rajasthan, and after visiting, we can certainly understand why.
We stayed in a Palace Room with Lake View. Although the room was a bit narrow and the bathroom somewhat small, the view directly overlooking the City Palace exceeded our expectations. The décor was luxurious and regal and felt very appropriate for a palace.
The boat transfer to the hotel was always available on demand and took only about 5 minutes to reach the hotel's private dock. The property itself is so peaceful and palatial, and it truly exudes luxury. I honestly couldn't decide if I loved the hotel more during the day or in the evening, as both offered such a different atmosphere.
Breakfast was served in the dining room, which did get a bit busy each morning, but the food was good. We also had the opportunity to dine at all of the hotel's restaurants and bars. Our favorite meal was at Neel Kamal, where we really enjoyed the food and service. We loved the night view of the City Palace at Bhairo, although we found the European food to be just okay and would have preferred an Indian set-menu option. We also enjoyed pre-dinner drinks at Amrit Sagar, where the staff were very attentive.
The staff and service throughout the hotel were outstanding. Oveish at Neel Kamal was especially helpful in guiding us through the menu and selecting dishes that were exactly what we were hoping to try. Dinesh also went out of his way to help when he saw us taking photos around the property, showing us some of the best views and angles for memorable photos. I didn't get the names of the boat drivers who took us back and forth between the hotel and dock, but they were all incredibly friendly and often took the time to help us capture photos from the best viewpoints.
Taj Lake Palace lived up to the expectations we had before arriving. Udaipur is also worth visiting for its relaxed pace and beautiful atmosphere. We highly recommend staying at this property and hope to return in the future.

An Unforgettable Stay at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. From the beautiful property and warm hospitality to the attention to every little detail, our stay was truly memorable and special.
A special mention to Chef Babu and Muskan for their wonderful service and for making our dining experiences so delightful. Our sincere appreciation also goes to Restaurant Manager Mr. Pramod Narayan, whose warmth and professionalism made us feel truly cared for.

The Taj Lake Palace is perfection! Every member of the remarkable team--from the front desk to bellman to restaurant to housekeeping to ... anticipates guest's every possible need or desire.
