Great Location, Superb Hotel, Great Food

I along with my 3 friends visited Hotel Taj Himalayas Khirsu, owner Mr. Laxman Singh ji is just amazing. He never denies for anything. Very polite gentleman. He will make you feel like your home. Their chef is also good, he prepares lip smacking delicious food. Both veg as well non veg. They also provide authentic Ghadwali food also but you need to give them time to prepare. Overall nice place to visit. Away from hustle bustle of city life. Peaceful environment. Take care friends.

Very off-route for badrinath-rishikesh route

Not sure why this hotel comes up searching for stay between badrinath - rishikesh route, this is very very off-route and take you through quite forest re-oute. We were traveling in evening, route to reach this hotel from highway(approx 25 km) was very scary. So suggestion is to avoid this if you are only trying for a night stay while reaching rishikesh.
Coming to hotel, this is typical budget hotel. Nothing bad in it price range. Staff was helpful and food was good.

Nice stay at Khirsu

Had a comfortable stay at Khirsu in Garhwal with nice views and very good service ....actually there are very few places to stay but this one is really good for the location where the staff is always willing to give service
A young boy named Himalaya gave us excellent service and Laxman Ji the owner was quite warm n welcoming .In fact we met up with the owners mother Basanti Devi and bought home made honey from her she was a sweet lady who brightened up our day

Hotel

This hotel is small village in khirsu.The staff is very good.Small kitchen gives your choice of food and on indian point of view rates are little bit more but accommodation is reasonable at least in off season.manager mr.rawat is very cooperative and good.the rooms are good with all balcony on the mountain side views.The view of nanda Devi and other peaks are beautiful and the terrace is fantastic to watch sunrise and sunset.They are opening a open restaurant soon.
Nice place to stay.

Just a Stopover Destination...

Hotel Taj Himalaya is one of only a few options to stay in Khirsu. It's alright for a night stopover for people who are driving to further destinations like Chopta, Joshimath, etc. Although it's associated with OYO, rooms and services are very basic. Hygiene and upkeep is just about average and it's something that one may expect in regions like this. Apart from the Taj Himalaya, other stay options are the GMVN guest house or the Hotel Badri Vishal, which offer almost the same kind of accommodations. Expecting anything of even a 3-star level is out of question here. Although they have a descriptive menu, most of the time one will only have an option of a basic meal. Views from this place are also average as compared to further destinations. It might be more beautiful during winters. Overall, this place would be on the list only if one needs a stopover.
